Claims
- 1. A compound of the formula ##STR6## wherein R' is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.12)alkyl substituted with halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy or halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy; (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl or (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)ar(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, both of which may be substituted on the aryl portion of the moiety with one or more substituents each independently selected from halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy, halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy, di(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkylamino, phenyl, phenoxy, or phenyl or phenoxy substituted with one or two substituents each independently selected from halo and (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl; R is a heterocyclyl 5 or 6 membered unsaturated ring selected from pyridyl, thienyl, furyl, pyrazinyl and pyrimidinyl or a heterocyclyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl group selected from pyridyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, thienyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, furyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, pyrazinyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl and pyrimidinyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, both of which may be substituted on the heterocyclyl ring with one or two substituents each independently selected from halo and (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl; or their salts, enantiomorphs and metal salt complexes.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 wherein R' is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, phen(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl or phen(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl substituted on the phenyl ring with up to two substituents each independently selected from halo, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy and halo(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkoxy; and R is pyridyl, pyridyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl, thienyl, or thienyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl.
- 3. The compound of claim 2 wherein R' is n-propyl, n-butyl, n-pentyl, isopentyl, benzyl, 4-chlorobenzyl, phenethyl, 4-chlorophenethyl, 4-fluorophenethyl, 4-methylphenethyl, or 4-(trifluoromethyl)phenethyl; and R is 2-pyridyl or 2-thienyl.
- 4. The compound of claim 3 wherein R' n-propyl, n-butyl, 4-chlorobenzyl, phenethyl, 4-chlorophenethyl, or 4-fluorophenethyl; and R is 2-pyridyl.
- 5. The compound of claim 4 wherein R' is 4-chlorophenethyl and R is 2-pyridyl.
- 6. A fungicidal composition which comprises an agronomically acceptable carrier and a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of claim 1.
- 7. A method for controlling fungi which comprises applying to the locus where control is desired a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of claim 1.
