Generally speaking, the invention described herein is an organizing device for hair and jewelry accessories. In specific embodiments, the invention described herein is a device useful for organizing headbands.
One embodiment provides an accessory holder comprising a cylindrical tube having a length of between about 6 inches and 14 inches, a diameter between about 3 inches and 6 inches and means for attaching one or more accessory selected from the group comprising legs, hanging systems, posts and wires; and a cap or swivel cover piece on one or both ends of the cylindrical tube.
In some embodiments, the cap or swivel cover piece provides means for accessing objects stored in the cylindrical tube. In various embodiments the cylindrical tube is made from plastic or a stiff paper. In some specific embodiments the stiff paper is cardboard.
In other embodiments, the cylindrical tube on the accessory holder is configured to hold brushes, combs, headbands, additional hanging options or character options. In some embodiments the device is used to create animated characters.
Non-limiting examples of animated characters useful in the present invention include reptiles (including but not limited to a dragon, gecko, worm, iguana, turtle, tortoise, lizard, snake, crocodile, alligator, etc.); birds (including but not limited to a flamingo, mallard, wood pecker, hawk, sparrow, cardinal, eagle, hummingbird, makaw, peacock, etc.); mammals (including but not limited to an elephant, hippopotamus, dog, tiger, cat, camel, seal, rabbit, whale, dolphin, monkey, bear, leopard, kangaroo, horse, gorilla, rhinoceros, etc.); amphibians (including but not limited to a toad, frog, salamander, etc.); insects (including but not limited to a butterfly, ladybug, beetle, caterpillar, spider, praying mantis, ant, bee, etc.); and mulluscans (i.e., snails or slugs).
In various specific embodiments, the length of the cylindrical tube is between about 8 inches and 12 inches and the diameter of the cylindrical tube is between about 4.5 inches and 5.5 inches.
In some embodiments, the means for attaching the legs, hanging system, posts or wires to the cylindrical tube comprises one or more pre-drilled holes. In some specific embodiments, the predrilled holes allow for self assembly of the cylindrical accessory holder.
In one embodiment, the accessory holder further comprises a perforated material. In specific embodiments, the perforated material provides means for storing earrings or studs.
In some embodiments the cylindrical tube on the accessory holder comprises one ore more posts. In various specific embodiments the posts are configured to hold rings, bracelets, hair ties, clips and/or necklaces.
In various embodiments the cylindrical tube on the accessory holder comprises wires. In various specific embodiments, the wires are configured to hold barrettes and/or clips.
