Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to cup holders, specifically cup holders that mount on to drinking vessels.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Oftentimes, workers gather upon the water cooler to get a quick break, acquire water for their peers, or to mingle a bit. Conventionally, these workers rest their cups on the top of the water jug, especially coworkers that dispense water for their fellow co-workers. These conditions and situations are prone to accidental spillages due to the limited stability and area of the water jug. Additionally, a co-worker will often have trouble trying to carry multiple cups of water trying to deliver them to their fellow co-workers. Therefore, it is an objective of the present invention to provide a cup holder tray that mounts on a water jug.

An objective of the present invention is to create a cup holder that mounts on top of a water jug. Additionally, this cup holder is readily detachable from the water jug, such that a user can carry multiple cups of water with ease. Furthermore, the cup holder will also take the form of a stable serving tray that can be laid down on a flat surface such as a table or desk.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a cup holder tray suited for a water jug installed onto a water cooler. The cup holder tray comprises a tray body, at least one cup cavity, and a jug receiver. The tray body comprises an upper surface. The upper surface and the jug receiver are positioned terminally opposite to each other along the tray body. The at least one cup cavity is distributed about the upper surface. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, each of the at least one cup cavity accommodates a cup along the upper surface. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the jug receiver serves as an attachment means to mount the cup holder tray along the top of the water jug. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cup holder tray may also be removed from the jug to serve as a standalone tray such that the cup holder tray is positioned along a flat surface.
