Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a dartboard rotating apparatus, and more particularly, to a dartboard rotating apparatus that makes a rear dartboard and a front dartboard rotated smoothly while making them not separated due to vibration occurring at the rotation of the front dartboard.
[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art
[0004] Generally, as illustrated in FIG. 1, a rotary dartboard has such a structure that a through hole is formed at the center of a ball bearing 10 contained in a circumferential recess 4 formed at the center of the front of a rear dartboard 1, a central axis 3 formed at the center of the back of the front dartboard 2, the through hole and the central axis 3 are interconnected, and the central axis 3 of the front dartboard 2 is directly connected to the ball bearing 10 by engaging a washer 7 to an engaging recess 9 formed at the back of the central axis by a screw spike 6. This structure is problematic in that the screw spike 6 engaged to the engaging recess 9 is loosed by the vibration occurred at the rotation of the front dartboard 2, and thusly the front dartboard 2 is separated from the rear dartboard 1 or the vibration phenomenon becomes more critical.
[0005] In addition, as illustrated in the drawing, since the height of the central axis 3 is larger than that of the inner circumference of the front dartboard 2, it is not easy to load and store the front dartboard 2 in a disassembled state prior to assembly and production.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a dartboard rotating apparatus which can prevent the separation of a front dartboard from a rear dartboard and the occurrence of vibration at the rotation of the front dartboard while being rotated smoothly and which can easily load and store the front dartboard in a disassembled state.
[0007] To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a dartboard rotating apparatus, comprising: a rear dartboard being formed at the back of a dartboard for performing a supporting operation; a front dartboard being rotatably coupled to the front of the rear dartboard and being formed with various designs for a dart game; a connection axis being formed at the center of the rear dartboard and front dartboard and supporting them while connecting them to be rotatable; a ball bearing being disposed at one end of the lateral side of the connection axis and rotating the front dartboard; and a screw spike supportingly engaged by a washer so that the connection axis and the ball bearing cannot be pulled out,
[0008] wherein the rear dartboard comprises: an inner diameter portion being formed to be passed through the center of the rear dartboard; a circumferential recess being formed at the back of the rear dartboard for mounting the ball bearing thereto; and latch jaws supporting the ball bearing so that it cannot be pulled out,
[0009] wherein the front dartboard comprises: a peripheral projection being protruded at the periphery of the back of the front dartboard; a central axis being protruded at the center of the front dartboard to conform to the center of the circumferential recess and guiding rotation; an inner stepped portion being stepped at the inner diameter of the central axis to a predetermined depth; and an engaging recess being formed at the center of the central axis for engaging the screw spike, and
[0010] wherein the connection axis formed with a plurality of stepped portions includes: a first stepped portion being inserted into the inner stepped portion of the central axis; a projection supporting portion being supported by the inner diameter portion of the rear dartboard; a second stepped portion being stepped to be coupled to the inner diameter portion of the ball bearing; and a through hole being formed at the center so that the screw spike can be passed through.
[0011] In addition, the height of the central axis is smaller than that of the peripheral projection formed at the periphery of the front dartboard and the rear dartboard is formed in a rectangular shape.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0012] The above objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
[0013]
FIG. 1 is a side cross-sectional view illustrating a conventional dartboard rotating apparatus; and
[0014]
FIG. 2 is a side cross-sectional view illustrating a dartboard rotating apparatus in accordance with the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0015] A preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0016]
FIG. 2 is a side cross-sectional view illustrating a dartboard in accordance with the present invention. Reference numeral 100 represents a dartboard with the rotating apparatus of the invention. The dartboard 100 includes: a rear dartboard 20 performing a supporting operation in contact with a wall if it is hung on the wall by a user; a front dartboard 30 being rotatably coupled to the front of the rear dartboard 20 and being formed with various designs for a dart game; a connection axis 40 being formed at the center of the rear dartboard 20 and front dartboard 30 and supporting them while connecting them to be rotatable; a ball bearing 60 being disposed at one end of the lateral side of the connection axis 40 and rotating the front dartboard 30; and a screw spike 50 supportingly engaged by a washer 52 so that the connection axis 40 and the ball bearing 60 cannot be pulled out.
[0017] The rear dartboard 20 includes: an inner diameter portion 22 being formed to be passed through the center of the rear dartboard 20; a circumferential recess 24 being formed at the back of the rear dartboard 20 for mounting the ball bearing 60 thereto; and latch jaws 25 and 25a supporting the ball bearing 60 so that it cannot be pulled out.
[0018] That is, in a case that the ball bearing 60 is inserted into the circumferential recess 24 and it is pushed by a predetermined external force, since the outer diameter of the ball bearing 60 is larger than the inner diameter of the latch jaws 25 and 25a by 1˜3 mm, the ball bearing is inserted into the circumferential recess 24 while pushing the latch jaws 25 and 25a and thereafter it is not pulled out naturally.
[0019] In addition, the front dartboard 30 includes: a peripheral projection 31 being protruded at the periphery of the back of the front dartboard 30 for bearing an external force; a central axis 33 being protruded at the center of the front dartboard 30 to conform to the center of the circumferential recess 24; an inner stepped portion 37 being stepped at the inner diameter of the central axis 33 to a predetermined depth; and an engaging recess 35 being formed at the center of the central axis 33 for engaging the screw spike 50.
[0020] Since the height of the central axis 33 of the front dartboard 30 is smaller than that of the peripheral projection 31, the front dartboard 30 can be managed efficiently in manufacturing, storing and delivering it, thereby reducing cost.
[0021] In addition, the connection axis 40 being connected between the rear dartboard 20 and the front dartboard 30 for acting as a medium is formed with a plurality of stepped portions. The connection axis 40 includes: a first stepped portion 42 being inserted into the inner stepped portion 37 of the central axis 33; a projection supporting portion 44 being supported by the inner diameter portion 22 of the rear dartboard 20; a second stepped portion 46 being stepped to be coupled to the inner diameter portion of the ball bearing 60; and a through hole 48 being formed at the center so that the screw spike can be passed through.
[0022] The connection axis 40 of the above-described embodiment is nothing but the one provided for convenience of description. Thus, the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. For example, the length of the first stepped portion 42, projection supporting portion 44 and second stepped portion 46 can be adjusted according to the state of use.
[0023] Such a dartboard rotating apparatus is, as illustrated in FIG. 2, not applied only to a rotary front dartboard consisting of a rear dartboard 20 and front dartboard 30 of a round shape, but also applied to a rotary front dartboard consisting of a rear dartboard 20 and front dartboard 30 in a square, rectangular or ellipse shape.
[0024] As described above, in the dartboard rotating apparatus of the invention, since the connection axis serves as a bushing in a case that the ball bearing contained in the circumferential recess of the center of the rear dartboard constituting the rotary dartboard of the present invention is connected with the central axis by the connection axis for rotation, the rear dartboard is smoothly rotated to prevent the front dartboard from being separated from the rear dartboard or prevent vibration. In addition, the dartboard rotating apparatus can be used semi-permanently and it can improve the loadability, storability and productivity since the height of the central axis is smaller than that of the peripheral projection of the front dartboard.
