Claims
- 1. A data communication apparatus comprising:
a communication section that performs pre-communication protocol to exchange a communication function with a communication destination terminal, and transmits data to the communication destination terminal after the pre-communication protocol; a detector that detects whether or not the communication destination terminal can perform a short protocol in which at least a communication protocol for line probing is omitted, the communication protocol for line probing being included the pre-communication protocol; and a controller that obtains communication parameters from the communication destination terminal when said detector detects that the communication destination terminal can perform the short protocol, stores the obtained communication parameters in a memory in association with the communication destination terminal, the stored communication parameters being utilized to perform the short protocol.
- 2. The data communication apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a further memory detector that detects whether or not communications parameters corresponding to the associated communication destination terminal are present in the memory before said communication section performs pre-communication protocol;
wherein said controller stores the obtained communication parameters in the memory when said further detector does not detect the communications parameters corresponding to the associated communication destination terminal in the memory.
- 3. The data communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the communication parameters includes at least power reduction value, carrier frequency, optimal training time, and non-linear distortion compensation value.
- 4. The data communication apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said further detector determines whether or not the communication destination terminal is registered in said memory based on an operation key that indicates a memory address of said memory where communication parameters are stored.
- 5. The data communication apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a scanner that scans an original to be transmitted to the destination terminal, and a printer that prints data to be received from a transmitter.
- 6. The data communication apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said scanner and said printer comprises a part of a facsimile apparatus.
- 7. A communication method comprising:
performing pre-communication protocol to exchange a communication function with a communication destination terminal, and transmitting data to the communication destination terminal after the pre-communication protocol; detecting whether or not the communication destination terminal can perform a short protocol in which at least a communication protocol for line probing is omitted, the communication protocol for line probing being included the pre-communication protocol; obtaining communication parameters from the destination terminal when it is detected that the communication destination terminal can perform the short protocol; and storing the obtained communication parameters in a memory in association with the communication destination terminal, the stored communication parameters being utilized to perform the short protocol.
- 8. The communication method according to claim 7, further comprising detecting whether or not communications parameters corresponding to the associated communication destination terminal is present in the memory before the pre-communication protocol is performed;
wherein storing the obtained communication parameters in the memory is performed when the communications parameters corresponding to the associated communication destination terminal is not detected in the memory.
- 9. The communication method according to claim 7, wherein the communication parameters includes at least power reduction value, carrier frequency, optimal training time, and non-linear distortion compensation value.
