Claims
- 1. A computer comprising:
- numerical data input means for entering numerical data into the computer;
- processor means coupled to said input means for receiving and processing said numerical data;
- first selecting means for instructing said processor means that the data entered is date data; and
- second selecting means for instructing said processor means as to the sequence of the date data at the time of entry, wherein said selecting means permits selection of one of plurality of predetermined different sequences, and wherein said processor means processes the entered data in response to the instruction from said second selecting means when said first selecting means instructs that the data entered is date data.
- 2. A computer in accordance with claim 1, wherein said processor means arranges the entered date data in a single predetermined sequence in response to operation of said second selecting means.
- 3. A computer in accordance with claim 1, wherein said processor means includes a read only memory in which procedures for said processor means are stored.
- 4. A computer in accordance with claim 3, wherein said processor means arranges the date data in a single predetermined sequence under the control of the procedures stored in said memory.
- 5. A computer in accordance with claim 4, wherein said second instructing means is manually operable.
- 6. A computer comprising:
- input means for entering different sequences of data into the computer, wherein said input means is adapted to enter date data in any of the sequence modes of year, month and day; day, month and year; and month, day and year;
- selecting means for selecting any of a plurality of predetermined sequence modes in which data is entered by the input means; and
- processor means coupled to said input means and said selecting means for processing the entered data in response to the identification by said selecting means of the selected sequence mode, wherein said processor means processes the data in said predetermined sequence.
- 7. A computer in accordance with claim 6, wherein said selecting means comprises a manually operable switch.
