Claims
- 1. A dc motor, comprising:
- a first coil;
- a first commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said first coil;
- a first brush mounted for contacting with said first commutator;
- a second coil;
- a second commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said second coil;
- a second brush mounted for contacting with said second commutator;
- a rotary motor shaft for transmitting rotational power to the outside of said motor;
- said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush being located adjacent only one of the opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft and said two commutators are arranged side by side in a direction of extension of the rotary motor shaft; and
- power transmitting lines connected to said first and second brushes and said lines extending from the outside to the inside of said dc motor through a portion adjacent one end of said rotary motor shaft.
- 2. A dc motor according to claim 1, wherein said second coil is wound in an overlapping relationship around said first coil.
- 3. A dc motor according to claim 2, wherein said motor further comprises an iron core on which said first coil is wound.
- 4. A dc motor according to claim 1, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brushare located adjacent the same end of said rotary motor shaft with said power transmitting means.
- 5. A dc motor according to claim 1, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush are located adjacent opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft with said first and second coils interposed therebetween respectively.
- 6. A dc motor, comprising:
- a first coil;
- a first commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said first coil;
- a first brush mounted for contacting with said first commutator;
- a second coil;
- a second commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said second coil;
- a second brush mounted for contacting with said second commutator; and
- a rotary motor shaft for transmitting a rotational power to the outside of said motor;
- said first and second coils being wound in a juxtaposed relationship about a radial axis of said rotary motor shaft.
- 7. A dc motor according to claim 6, further comprising power transmitting means which transmits electric power from a portion of said motor adjacent an end of said rotary motor shaft to said first and second brushes.
- 8. A dc motor according to claim 7, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush are located adjacent the same end of said rotary motor shaft with said power transmitting means.
- 9. A dc motor according to claim 6, further comprising power transmitting means which transmits electric power from portions of said motor adjacent opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft to said first and second brushes.
- 10. A dc motor according to claim 9, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush are located adjacent the opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft with said first and second coils interposed therebetween, respectively.
- 11. A dc motor, comprising:
- a first coil;
- a first commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said first coil;
- a first brush mounted in contacting relationship with said first commutator;
- a second coil;
- a second commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said second coil;
- a second brush mounted in contacting relationship with said second commutator;
- a rotary motor shaft for transmitting rotational power; and
- said first and second coils are wound alternately in a radial direction of said rotary motor shaft.
- 12. A dc motor according to claim 11, further comprising power transmitting means which transmits electric power from a portion of said motor adjacent an end of said rotary motor shaft to said first and second brushes.
- 13. A dc motor according to claim 12, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush are located adjacent the same end of said rotary motor shaft with said power transmitting means.
- 14. A dc motor according to claim 11, further comprising power transmitting means which transmits electric power from portions of said motor adjacent opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft to said first and second brushes.
- 15. A dc motor according to claim 14, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush are located adjacent the opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft with said first and second coils interposed therebetween, respectively.
- 16. A dc motor, comprising:
- a first coil;
- a first commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said first coil;
- a first brush mounted for contacting with said first commutator;
- a second coil;
- a second commutator mounted for rotation and connected to said second coil;
- a second brush mounted for contacting with said second commutator;
- a rotary motor shaft for transmitting rotational power to the outside of said motor; and
- said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush being located adjacent only one of the opposite ends of said rotary motor shaft and said two commutators are arranged side by side in a direction of extension of the rotary motor shaft.
- 17. A dc motor according to claim 16, wherein said first commutator and brush and said second commutator and brush are located at axially separated positions on said rotary motor shaft.
- 18. A dc motor according to claim 16, wherein said first commutator has a greater length along an axial direction of said rotary motor shaft than said second commutator, and said second commutator is located outside and around said first commutator.
- 19. A dc motor according to claim 16, further comprising a housing including a cover located adjacent an axial end of said rotary motor shaft, said housing further including a cylindrical member having a side wall portion and an integral cover portion which is located adjacent the other axial end of said rotary motor shaft.
- 20. A dc motor according to claim 19, wherein electric power is supplied from an external power source to said dc motor via said cover.
