The disclosure relates to display and more particularly pertains to a new display for having a decoratable gift display stand.
The prior art relates to displays and includes a variety of displays receiving flowers, cards, or gifts. Known prior art does not include a pivoting stand including a pair of panels having a plurality of pockets for receiving flowers, cards, or gifts and being devoid of color such that a user may apply color or decorations to the panels.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a pair of panels. Each panel includes an outside surface, an inside surface, a top edge, a bottom edge, a first side edge, and a second side edge. The outside surface is devoid of color, wherein the outside surface is receivable of decorative indicia. A coupler is coupled to each panel of the pair of panels, wherein the pair of panels are pivotally coupled together. The panels are positionable in a closed position and an open position. A tether is attached to each panel of the pair of panels. The tether extends between the panels offset from the coupler such that the panels are prevented from being pivoted further apart when the tether is taut between the pair of panels. A plurality of pockets is coupled to each panel. Each pocket of the plurality of pockets removably receives at least one item.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A coupler 28 is coupled to each panel 12 of the pair of panels 12, wherein the pair of panels 12 is pivotally coupled together. The panels 12 are positionable in a closed position 30 and an open position 32. The closed position 30 is defined by the inside surface 16 of each panel 12 abutting each other and the open position 32 is defined by the panels 12 being angled relative to each other such that an acute angle is formed between the panels 12. The coupler 28 may comprise a living hinge or any other pivotable hinge being attached to the top edge 18 of each panel 12.
A tether 34 is attached to each panel 12 of the pair of panels 12. The tether 34 extends between the panels 12 offset from the coupler 28 such that the panels 12 are prevented from being pivoted further apart when the tether 34 is taut between the pair of panels 12. The tether 34 includes a pair of ends 36 and each end 36 of the pair of ends 36 is coupled to a respective one of the inside surfaces 16 of the pair of panels 12. The tether 34 typically will comprise a fabric material being lightweight and supply.
A plurality of pockets 38 is coupled to each panel 12. Each pocket 38 of the plurality of pockets 38 removably receives at least one item 40 such as a flower, a card, a gift, or any other item being displayed by the device 10. Each pocket 38 normally comprises a liquid-impermeable material such as plastic, rubber, or any other material being waterproof, wherein each pocket 38 contains liquid to inhibit any damage from liquids to the panels 12.
Each pocket 38 is positioned on the outside surface 14 of each panel 12 and each pocket 38 has an opening 42 being positioned facing towards the top edge 18 of each panel 12. One panel 12 of the pair of panels 12 typically has at least 3 pockets of the plurality of pockets 38 positioned successively from the top edge 18 to the bottom edge 20. Another panel 12 of the pair of panels 12 may have at least one pocket of the plurality of pockets 38 being elongated from the first side edge 22 to the second side edge 24.
In use, the outside surfaces 14 of the pair of panels 12 may receive decorative indicia 26 to enhance an appearance of the device 10. Each of the pockets 38 may receive at least one item 40 to be displayed. The panels 12 are positioned into an open position 32 to stand the device up and display at least one item 40 such as flowers, cards, gifts, or another item. The panels 12 may be positioned into a closed position 30 to store away the device 10 when not in-use.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
