The present invention relates to decorative hair. More particularly, the present invention relates to a decorative hair assembly comprising a base decorative hair and a top decorative hair.
Hair nets and hair-fixing strips are widely available on the open market. They have been used to enhance the physical appearance of many people. The prior art requires the user to tightly weave the user's hair and place a base mesh net on the user's head. The base mesh net is then sewn onto the user's hair at predetermined locations. Then, a plurality of hair strands that are attached to a hair-fixing strip is sewn onto the base mesh net.
The hair attaching process of the prior art is costly, time consuming, and tedious. The prior art may be labor intensive, requiring even an experienced hair stylist several hours to complete the task. In other cases, glue is used to attach the hair-fixing strip to the base mesh net, which can damage the user's hair and can be very messy.
Wigs have also been used for centuries to decorate the hair of users. However, wigs carry an unfortunate risk of becoming separated or slightly misplaced on the user's head, which can be humiliating for the user. In addition, wigs tend to appear unnatural or awkward.
The present invention contrives to solve the disadvantages of the prior art.
An objective of the invention is to provide a decorative hair assembly system that is less costly and less labor intensive than the prior art.
Another objective of the invention is to provide a decorative hair assembly system that is more natural looking and secure on the user's head. It is important for the users to feel confident and self-assured with their hair.
In order to achieve the above objectives, the present invention provides a decorative hair system that comprises a base net and base decorative hair that is attached to the base net where the base net comprises a base mesh net that is adapted to be fixed to the hair of the user. The base decorative hair comprises a plurality of hair strands and a hair-fixing strip to which ends of the hair strands are attached. A predetermined length of the hair-fixing strip is attached to the base mesh net by sewing the hair-fixing strip to the base mesh net. The hair-fixing strip is sewn onto the base mesh net in a spiral pattern.
The base mesh net is designed to be fixed to the hair of the user by sewing the base mesh net to a plurality of points on the hair of the user. The base mesh net comprises stretchable mesh and a lower edge strip that limits the edge of the stretchable net. The lower edge strip comprises one or more elastic bands, which allows for a snug fit on the user's head.
The decorative hair assembly also comprises of a top hair piece that is adapted to be attached to the top portion of the base net, wherein the amount of base decorative hair is limited to a predetermined value. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the predetermined value of decorative hair is about two-thirds of the user's head. Thus, the hair-fixing strip is sewn from the lower edge strip of the bottom net and spirals up the bottom net about two-thirds of the way up.
The top hair piece, which is adapted to simulate the top portion of a human head, comprises a top hair net and top decorative hair attached to the top hair net. The top decorative hair comprises a plurality of hair strands and a hair-fixing strip to which ends of the hair strands are attached. The hair-fixing strip is sewn onto the top hair net.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the top hair piece is adapted to simulate the whirl of hair on a human head. The main motivation behind making a top decorative hair and a base decorative hair is that it is difficult and impractical to affix a single hair-fixing strip to begin from the elastic strip and end all the way up to the apex of the base mesh net. In addition, it is easier to make the top whirl look more natural and realistic using a separate top hair piece.
In top hair piece comprises a hair-fixing strip sewn onto the top hair net in a spiral shape.
Thus, the base mesh net with a hair-fixing strip already attached in a spiral pattern is placed on top of the user's head and the base mesh net is sewn at predetermined locations to the user's hair. Then, the top hair piece is attached to the top portion of the base mesh net to complete the desired look. The process of painstakingly sewing the hair-fixing strip to the base mesh net by the hair stylist is eliminated.
The advantages of the present invention are: (1) labor cost and time consumption of sewing the hair-fixing strip to the base mesh net is drastically reduced; (2) the decorative hair assembly can be securely woven into the user's hair; and (3) the decorative hair assembly is more natural looking. In the present invention, the hair-fixing strip already comes sewn into the base mesh net as a single product, whereas the prior art requires a hair stylist to spend up to several hours sewing the hair-fixing strip to the base mesh net.
Although the present invention is briefly summarized, the fuller understanding of the invention can be obtained by the following drawings, detailed description and appended claims.
These and other features, aspects and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

The top decorative hair 32 also includes a plurality of hair strands 18 and a hair-fixing strip 20 to which ends of the hair strands 18 are attached.
A predetermined length of the hair-fixing strip 20 is attached to the top hair net 30 by sewing the hair-fixing strip 20 to the top hair net 30.
The top hair piece is adapted to simulate the whirl of hair on a human head.
Various hair including human hair, artificial or synthetic hair/curly or straight/may be used as the base decorative hair 14 and the top decorative hair 32. By providing the top hair piece 28 and the main hair piece 11 separately, different choice of color combination is possible. A user may choose between may different combinations of base decorative hair and top decorative hair. A user may use his or her own hair instead of the top hair piece. A hair designer may finish the decorative hair in more customized form for a user using usual hair treating technique.
While the invention has been shown and described with reference to different embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that variations in form, detail, compositions and operation may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the accompanying claims.
