1. Field of the Invention
This invention generally relates to the road accessories, in particular, to umbrellas and especially to the folding ones.
2. Background Art
Different umbrella (lesions are known in the prior art. U.S. Pat. No. 6,334,454 B1 by Williams discloses an umbrella with a casing. The umbrella has a removable cap that can be connected by threading. The cap can then be reattached to the threading to act as a handle for the umbrella.
U.S. Pat.. No. 8,156,951 B2 by Klose discloses and umbrella having a handle with telescoping tube sections and having a recessed section grip.
German Patent No. DE 1,0217,280 by Ko discloses an umbrella that is housed within a cylinder shape. The umbrella is mounted to a base in the cylindrical shape where the base slides up in the cylindrical shaped housing when the umbrella is expanded.
U.S. Pat. No. 4,456,023 A by Fujihashi discloses a collapsible umbrella with a rigid tubular sheathing handle being attached to a central telescopic stick in such a way that the umbrella in a fully collapsed condition may be withdrawn in the sheathing handle in a completely water-tight manner when a sliding member fixed to the lower end of the stick is at the bottom of the tubular sheathing handle.
U.S. Pat. No. 2,282,695 A by Badovinac discloses a collapsible umbrella with housing.
U.S. Pat. No. 8,011,379 B2 by Yong discloses a portable and compact umbrella capable of being folded compactly without exposing umbrella ribs and umbrella cloth. A portable and compact umbrella according to the present invention includes an extendable umbrella stick extended and retracted to change its length, wherein the extendable umbrella stick has a sheltering means provided at one side thereof and a fixing protrusion provided at the other side thereof; and a handle member having both ends communicating with each other and a receiving space defined therein. The receiving space is partitioned by a cylindrical winding unit, the winding unit has an inner space formed inside, thereof so that the extendable umbrella stick is retracted and received in the inner space, and the winding unit has an outer space formed outside thereof so that the sheltering means is wound around the winding unit and received in the outer space.
The objective of the invention is to improve properties of an umbrella taking into account convenience and comfort through ergonometric requirements, and to create a new fashion trend.
The present invention is an umbrella with telescoping rod with a canopy housed in a handle with cover that is deployed by manipulation of a surface with hinge.
The umbrella case serves as the handle to hold the umbrella. The case is squeezed by a hand to reduce cross section of the case for more comfortable holding the umbrella.
The present invention will now be discussed in further detail below with reference to the accompanying figures in which:
Yet another embodiment includes a gasket 9 serving to dose the case in the umbrella open position. The gasket is attached to the second section 10 of the umbrella rod 1. The diameter of the second section 10 is larger than the diameter of the first section 11. In the folded position of the umbrella the gasket is placed on the bottom of the case.
Opening and closing of the umbrella: part of the separately selected surface 6 of the handle 5 body under the influence of user's hand 8 force necessary to hold the umbrella in the open position is pushed inside the handle 5 body, wherein the sectional shape of the handle 5 (
The handle 6 may be box-shaped elliptically shaped, or have one or more sections that are open.
The description of a preferred embodiment of the invention has been presented for purposes of illustration and description. It is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed. Obviously, many modifications and variations will be apparent to practitioners skilled in this art. It is intended that the scope of the invention be defined by the following claims and their equivalents.
Moreover, the words “example” or “exemplary” are used herein to mean serving as an example, instance, or illustration. Any aspect or design described herein as “exemplary” is not necessarily to be construed as preferred or advantageous over other aspects or designs. Rather, use of the words “example” or “exemplary” is intended to present concepts in a concrete fashion. As used in this application, the term “or” is intended to mean an inclusive “or” rather than an exclusive “or”. That is, unless specified otherwise, or clear from context, “X employs A or B” is intended to mean any of the natural inclusive permutations. That is, if X employs A; X employs B; or X employs both A and B, then “X employs A or B” is satisfied under any of the foregoing instances. In addition, the articles “a” and “an” as used in this application and the appended claims should generally be construed to mean “one or more” unless specified otherwise or clear from context to be directed to a singular form.
The current patent application claims priority to U.S. provisional application No. 62/075,305 filed on Nov. 5, 2014.
