Claims
- 1. A method of constructing a building structure characterized by:
- (a) precasting a set of free-standing supporting modules, each comprising a slab and supporting legs at the extremities thereof, said slabs each having a set of horizontal transverse tendon guideways located therethrough;
- (b) positioning said supporting modules in predetermined spaced relation;
- (c) extending tendons through said guideways located in said slabs of said supporting modules;
- (d) fitting sheaths over the portions of said tendons located between said supporting modules to form tendon guideways;
- (e) providing forms and casting supported modules in the spaces between said supporting modules and around said tendons, each said supported module comprising a slab; and
- (f) applying post-tensioning force to the extremities of said tendons accompanied with corresponding transverse compression force to and through said slabs of said supporting and supported modules,
- whereby said supported modules are supported solely by said supporting modules.
- 2. The method of constructing a building structure as defined in claim 1, wherein said slabs of said supporting modules each further comprise an outwardly and upwardly facing side shoulder along at least one edge thereof, and said supported modules are cast in place with slabs having a thickness equal to the depth of and occupying said side shoulders of said supporting slabs.
