Claims
- 1. A building floor structure, comprising:
- a. slab set including a plurality of elongated supporting slabs disposed is spaced relation and having supporting means thereunder, said supporting means for each supporting slab including a pair of longitudinal beams at the side margins thereof, and supporting legs at the extremities thereof, each supporting slab also having elongated side margins formed with supporting recesses; and a plurality of elongated supported slabs disposed between the supporting slabs and having elongated side margins resting in the recesses with edge surfaces of said supporting and supported slabs in abutting relation, the supporting and supported slabs being disposed in coplanar relation;
- b. the supporting and supported slabs of the slab set having transversely extending tendon guideways terminating in registry at the side margins of the slabs between the upper and lower surfaces of the slabs to form continuous parallel guideways between the extreme slabs of the slab set;
- c. a plurality of tensioned tendons slidably received and slidably maintained in each continuous guideway;
- d. and means attached to the extremities of each tendon and bearing against the extreme slabs of the slab set to maintain distributed tension force in the tendons and distributed transverse compression force through and between the slabs.
- 2. A building floor structure, comprising:
- a. a plurality of slab sets with each slab set including a plurality of elongated supporting slabs disposed in spaced relation and having supporting means thereunder, the plurality of slab sets disposed in contiguous relation with the slabs thereof disposed in end-to-end relation, each supporting slab also having elongated side margins formed with supporting recesses; and a plurality of elongated supported slabs disposed between the supporting slabs and having elongated side margins resting in the recesses with edge surfaces of said supporting and supported slabs in abutting relation, the supporting and supported slabs being disposed in coplanar relation;
- b. the supporting and supported slabs of the slab set having transversely extending tendon guideways terminating in registry at the side margins of the slabs between the upper and lower surfaces of the slabs to form continuous parallel guideways between the extreme slabs of the slab set;
- c. the contiguous ends of the slabs being provided with mating tongue and channel portions having mating tendon guideways;
- d. a plurality of tensioned tendons slidably received and slidably maintained in each continuous guideway;
- e. and means attached to the extremities of each tendon and bearing against the extreme slabs of the slab set to maintain distributed tension force in the tendons and distributed transverse compression force through and between the slabs.
- 3. A building floor structure, comprising:
- a. a plurality of slab sets with each slab set including a plurality of elongated supporting slabs disposed in space relation and having supporting means thereunder, the plurality of slab sets disposed in continguous relation with the slabs thereof disposed in end-to-end relation, each supporting slab also having elongated side margins formed with supporting recesses; and a plurality of elongated supported slabs disposed between the supporting slabs and having elongated side margins resting in the recesses with edge surfaces of said supporting and supported slabs in abutting relation, the supporting and supported slabs being disposed in coplanar relation;
- b. the supporting and supported slabs of the slab set having transversely extending tendon guideways terminating in registry at the side margins of the slabs between the upper and lower surfaces of the slabs to form continuous parallel gudeways between the extreme slabs of the slab set;
- c. a plurality of tensioned tendons slidably received and slidably maintained in each continuous guideway;
- d. means attached to the extremities of each tendon and bearing against the extreme slabs of the slab set to maintain distributed tension force in the tendons and distributed transverse compression force through and between the slabs;
- e. the confronting end margins of the slabs of selected pairs of slab sets being provided with confronting recesses;
- f. an expansion element disposed between the slab end margins;
- g. and a slide plate bridging between the recesses.
