Claims
- 1. A substituted monoethylglycinexylidide or analogue having the structure ##STR1## wherein M is CH.sub.2 NHCH.sub.2 CH.sub.3, CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.3 or CH.sub.2 OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.3, one of Y.sup.1 and Y.sup.2 is H and the other is selected from the group consisting of the residue of a trizinyl amino fluorescein, the residue of an amino methyl fluorescein and the residue of a substituted carboxyfluorescein chemically bonded to the glycinexylidide or analogue moiety.
- 2. A substituted monoethylglycinexylidide or analogue as claimed in claim 1 wherein Y.sup.1 is hydrogen and Y.sup.2 is a fluorescein moiety having the structure ##STR2##
- 3. A substituted monoethylglycinexylidide or analogue as claimed in claim 1 wherein Y.sup.2 is hydrogen and Y.sup.1 is a fluorescein moiety having the structure ##STR3##
- 4. The substituted monoethylglyeinexylidide or analogue of claim 1 dissolved to form an aqueous solution which is buffered to a pH between about 1.5 and 2.1.
