Claims
- 1. A method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris, comprising the steps of:
(a) obtaining an iris biometric image representative of said iris; and (b) performing said procedure on an eye in accordance with said iris biometric image.
- 2. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 1, comprising the further steps of:
(a) obtaining first and second iris biometric images; and (b) comparing said first and second iris biometric images to provide a biometric comparison result.
- 3. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 2, comprising the further step of identifying an eye in accordance with said biometric comparison result.
- 4. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 2, wherein said eye has features and said features are represented within said first and second biometric images.
- 5. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 3, comprising the further step of identifying an iris in accordance with said features.
- 6. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 5, comprising the further step of performing said procedure in accordance with said identification.
- 7. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 5, comprising the further step of determining a location of said iris in accordance with said features.
- 8. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 7, comprising the further step of determining an orientation of said iris in accordance with said features.
- 9. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 7, comprising the further step of determining a translation of said iris in accordance with said features.
- 10. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 7, comprising the further step of altering a relative location of said iris in accordance with said features.
- 11. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 7, comprising the further step of directing a light beam in accordance with said features.
- 12. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 2, comprising the further step of optimizing at least one of said first and second iris biometric images to provide an optimized image.
- 13. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 12, comprising the further step of providing said optimized image in accordance with an image quality metric.
- 14. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 13, wherein said eye has a selected feature comprising the further step of providing said optimized image to emphasize a visualization of said selected feature of said eye.
- 15. The method for performing a procedure on an eye having an iris of claim 12, performing said comparison of said first and second iris biometric images for identifying a person within a security verification.
