- wherein said first frame has a toner supply opening for supplying the toner from said toner containing portion to said developing portion, and a blade mounting portion for mounting a blade for regulating an amount of toner to be applied on said developing sleeve of the developing device mounted to a developing device mounting portion of the second frame; and
- wherein a wall constituting the toner containing portion of said first frame is inclined toward the toner supply opening.
- 117. A frame according to claim 116, wherein said toner supply opening is provided with a removable seal for sealing the toner supply opening, wherein the seal is removed prior to start of use of the process cartridge.
- 118. A developing frame usable in a process cartridge which is detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus, said process cartridge having an electrophotographic photosensitive member and a developing roller for developing a latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member, said developing frame comprising:
- a toner containing portion for containing toner for developing a latent image formed on said photosensitive member;
- a developing portion for developing the latent image, with said developing roller, using the toner contained in said toner containing portion;
- a first frame bridging from said toner containing portion to said developing portion;
- a second frame bridging from said developing portion to said toner containing portion; and
- an end member joined with longitudinal opposite ends of said first frame and second frame to join said first frame and second frame;
- wherein said toner containing portion and said developing portion are constructed by combining said first frame and second frame; and
- wherein when said first frame and said second frame are joined, an elastic sealing member is interposed therebetween adjacent said developing device mounting portion.
- 119. A frame according to claim 118, wherein said first frame and said second frame have positioning portions at the longitudinal opposite ends, which are engaged with positioning portions of said end members to correctly position said first frame and said second frame when said first frame and said second frame are joined.
- 120. A frame according to claim 119, wherein the positioning portions of said first frame and said second frame are in the form of holes, and the positioning portions of said end members are in the form of bosses engageable with the holes.
- 121. A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus, comprising:
- a. an electrophotographic photosensitive member;
- b. a developing device for developing a latent image formed on said photosensitive member; and
- c. a developing frame having:
- a first frame having a toner containing portion for containing toner for developing the latent image formed on the photosensitive member, an opening portion formed in said toner containing portion and a toner supply opening for supplying the toner from said toner containing portion to a developing zone; and
- a second frame having a developing device mounting portion for mounting said developing device for developing the latent image on the photosensitive member using the toner contained in the toner containing portion, and a covering portion for covering the opening portion of the toner containing portion;
- wherein said developing frame is constructed by combining said first frame and second frame;
- wherein said first frame has a blade mounting portion for mounting a blade for regulating an amount of toner to be applied on a developing sleeve of the developing device mounted to the developing device mounting portion of the second frame; and
- wherein said blade is mounted on said blade mounting portion.
