Abstract
A device for producing and subsequently breaking an irreversible connection between an object and a foundation, is formed from a wedge-shaped body. The wedge-shaped body includes at least two opposing wall surfaces that converge at an acute angle to a tip area. The wedge-shaped body has a front side, and a rear side with the tip area arranged opposite the front side. The wedge-shaped body is hollow in an area between the wall surfaces. A receptacle extends from the front side in the direction of the cavity in the wedge-shaped body between the two opposite wall surfaces. The receptacle is separated from the cavity inside the wedge-shaped body by at least one internal partition wall.
Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims the benefit of German Patent Application DE 10 2023 106 146.1, filed on Mar. 13, 2023, the contents of which is incorporated in its entirety.

BACKGROUND

Gravestones are commonly installed on foundations by use of flowable binding agents. This creates an irreversible connection that cannot be disassembled or separated without causing damage to the connection. In order to break an irreversible connection between a gravestone and its foundation, a metal tool (e.g., a wedge, iron) is laboriously driven into the binding agent or into an existing joint between the binding agent and the gravestone using an impact tool, in order to break the connection.

This process is very time-consuming and requires significant effort. Under certain circumstances, damage to the object (e.g., the gravestone) can occur, for example by edges chipping off. In addition, there is a risk of injury to the user.

SUMMARY

The present disclosure relates to a device for producing and subsequently breaking an irreversible connection between an object and a foundation. The disclosure further relates to a method for producing and a method for breaking such an irreversible connection.

The disclosure creates a device and a method which can be used when removing existing, irreversible connections of objects, such as gravestones (e.g., for re-inscription or disposal of the gravestone), with significantly less user effort than presently known methods. Through effort-saving work, the risk of injury is also reduced. Furthermore, the risk of chipping off edges of a gravestone during removal is effectively avoided.

The device for producing and subsequently breaking an irreversible connection between an object and a foundation is formed as a wedge-shaped body. The wedge-shaped body includes two walls, namely an upper wall and a lower wall arranged opposite the upper wall. The wedge-shaped body extends from a front side to a tip arranged at a rear end of the wedge-shaped body opposite the front side. The upper wall and the lower wall converge at an acute angle and meet at the tip. A cavity is formed in an area between the upper wall and the lower wall. A receptacle extends from the front side towards the cavity in the wedge-shaped body between the upper wall and the lower wall. A partition wall is arranged between the receptacle and the cavity.

The upper wall and the lower wall are flat. The wedge-shaped body has the shape of a triangular prism.

By inserting the present device into the foundation or joint during the creation of the irreversible connection, for example when setting a gravestone, the device is placed under the object. Due to the design of the receptacle, it provides a positioning aid into which a wedge tool, for example a metallic wedge or a crow bar, can be inserted.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 shows a device for producing and subsequently breaking an irreversible connection between an object and a foundation in a cross section.

FIG. 2 shows the device as in FIG. 1 in a perspective view.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As shown in FIG. 1, the device 1 for producing and subsequently breaking an irreversible connection between an object and a foundation comprises a wedge-shaped body 10. At least two opposite wall surfaces 100′, 100″ and preferably side wall surfaces 100′″ converge at an acute angle at a tip region. The wedge-shaped body 10 has a front side 103 and a rear side 105 with the tip region arranged opposite the front side 103. The wedge-shaped body 10 is hollow with a cavity 102 in an area 101 between the wall surfaces 100′, 100″.

A receptacle 1010 extends from its front side 103 in the direction R of the cavity 102 of the wedge-shaped body 10 between the two opposite wall surfaces 100′, 100″. The receptacle 1010 is separated from the cavity 102 in the wedge-shaped body by an internal partition wall 104.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the receptacle 1010 is wedge-shaped.

In a further particularly advantageous embodiment, the partition wall 104 is wedge-shaped in the direction of the cavity 102 or curved in the direction of the cavity 102.

Above at least one wall surface 100′, 100″, a front edge 106 (upstand) is preferably formed. The upstand 106 prevents edges from chipping off the object, for example the gravestone, when the device 1 is used to release the connection between the object and its foundation.

The present disclosure also relates to a method for producing an irreversible connection 2 for fixing an object 3 to a foundation 4 by means of a device 1, the method including the following method steps: Applying or introducing a flowable binding agent 5 between the object 3 and the foundation 4 and subsequent introducing the device 1 into the flowable binding agent 5 or introducing the device 1 between the object 3 and the foundation 4 and subsequent introducing a flowable binding agent 5 between the object 3 and the foundation 4.

In either case, the device is placed such that its receptacle 1010 is aligned towards an outside 50 of a layer formed by the flowable binding agent 5.

A further aspect of the disclosure comprises a method for breaking an irreversible connection 2 according to the method described above, in which a strike tool or impact tool corresponding to the receptacle 1010 is introduced into the receptacle 1010, with the strike tool or impact tool being used to pierce the partition wall 104.
