Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a device for covering a gap between temporary work platforms, and more particularly to a device for covering a gap between temporary work platforms, which is capable of covering a gap between temporary work platforms, which are temporarily installed to permit workers to stand thereon or to carry materials in the construction or repair of ships, construction of buildings, etc., thereby preventing accidents, such as a worker's foot being caught in a gap between the temporary work platforms.

BACKGROUND ART

In general, a temporary structure is installed to enable workers to stand thereon and get access to high places to aid in the construction or repair of ships, construction of buildings, or civil-engineering works.

This temporary structure is typically constructed such that a framework is set up by assembling pipes and such that a work platform is mounted in the framework.

An exemplary work platform for the above-mentioned temporary structure is disclosed in Korean Patent Laid-open Publication No. 10-2012-0138486 (published on Dec. 26, 2012). However, this related art has a problem in that the work platform is so narrow that a worker may be easily injured in a fall from the work platform when the worker misses his/her step or loses his/her balance while working. Even if work platforms are arranged in two rows in order to increase a working area to prevent the above problem, a gap, in which a worker's foot is easily caught, is formed between the work platforms.
