The invention relates to a device for fastening a finishing strip comprising a mount, which forms a wall leg, and which has an upwardly protruding receptacle web offset transversely in relation to the wall leg which engages in a receptacle groove open on the bottom of the finishing strip for the clamping accommodation of the finishing strip.
For fastening finishing strips for floors, providing a mount made of a plastic profile is known (EP 2 169 143 A2), which has a wall leg fastenable on the wall and a receptacle web for the finishing strip, which is plugged onto the wall-parallel receptacle web, which is offset transversely in relation to the wall leg and is approximately parallel to the wall. The receptacle web engages in this case in a receptacle groove of the finishing strip, which is fixed with the aid of clamping ribs provided on the receptacle web. Since a wall profile which is not linear has to be expected, difficulties result during the plugging of the finishing strip onto the receptacle web of the mounting profile. This is because longer sections of the finishing strips require greater play in the case of a nonlinear wall profile in relation to the engagement of the receptacle web in the receptacle groove of the finishing strip provided for this purpose, to be able to plug the finishing strip onto the mounting profile, while with shorter sections of the finishing strip, a sufficient clamping connection between the receptacle web and the finishing strip is endangered by such play.
In order that the receptacle web can be held securely in the receptacle groove of the finishing strip, providing the receptacle web with a spring leg bent back in the form of a hairpin is additionally known (WO 02/066764 A2), so that the spring leg, which originates from an upper insertion edge of the receptacle web and is bent back downward, is pressed against the receptacle web with pre-tension during the insertion of the receptacle web into the receptacle groove, which results in a resilient contact of the clamping parts of the receptacle web, which are provided with clamping ribs, on the walls of the receptacle groove and thus a tolerance compensation, but not with respect to a possibly nonlinear wall profile, but rather with respect to the clamping connection between the receptacle web of the mount and the receptacle groove of the finishing strip.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a fastening device for finishing strips in such a way that not only the plugging of the finishing strip onto the mount fastened on the wall is facilitated independently of the respective length of the finishing strip section to be plugged on, but rather also a secure clamping connection substantially independent of the respective section length of the finishing strip can be achieved between the mounting profile and the finishing strip.
Proceeding from a device of the type described at the outset, the invention achieves the stated object in that the receptacle web has at least three spring tongues, which are arrayed adjacent in the web longitudinal direction and protrude freely upward, and which bulge out alternately concavely and convexly in relation to the wall leg around web-parallel axes.
Because of the profile, which is alternately concave and convex in relation to the wall leg of the mount, of the spring tongues, which protrude freely upward and form the receptacle web, these spring tongues bulging out in opposite directions are pressed against one another during the engagement in the receptacle groove of the finishing strip with pre-tension with the effect transversely in relation to the wall leg that they bear with the bulges thereof in a clamping manner on the opposing walls of the receptacle groove of the finishing strip. Since the free ends of the spring tongues protrude upward, a comparatively large spring travel transversely to the wall leg can be used, which enables an advantageous adaptation of the mounts following a nonlinear wall profile to linear finishing strips, without impairing the clamping effect, because the spring tongues bulging in opposite directions can be deflected resiliently towards both sides in relation to a center plane of the receptacle web.
To enhance the withdrawal resistance between the receptacle web of the mount and the receptacle groove of the finishing strip, the spring tongues can be provided with catch ribs extending in the web longitudinal direction on the outer sides facing away from one another.
The clamping connection between the mount and the finishing strip can additionally be improved in that the spring tongues cross one another and form additional catch supports with the crossing ends.
In order that an advantageous spring travel can be ensured for the spring tongues bulging in opposite directions, the spring tongues extending concavely in relation to the wall leg can originate from the wall leg and the spring tongues extending convexly in relation to the wall leg can originate from a transverse web protruding from the wall leg. This is because the bending length of the spring tongues is increased by this measure and therefore the compensation between nonlinear walls and linear wall finishing strips is improved.
The subject matter according to the invention is illustrated by way of example in the drawings. In the figures
The device according to the invention has a mount 1, for example, made of plastic, which forms a wall leg 3 fastenable on a wall 2, which is provided with at least one oblong hole 4 for a fastening screw. The wall leg 3 protrudes from a base leg 5, which is connected via an intended breakpoint 6 to the wall leg 3 and can be separated from the wall leg 3 if needed. With the aid of the base leg 5, the mount 1 can be supported on a floor covering 7. In the upper edge region, the wall leg 3 forms a receptacle web 8 for the finishing strip 9 to be fastened on the wall 2, which has a receptacle groove 10 open on top for the receptacle groove 7 for this purpose. The receptacle web 8, which is offset away from the wall 2 in relation to the wall leg 3, and which extends approximately parallel to the wall 2 or the wall leg 3, respectively, is composed of at least three, in the exemplary embodiment of four spring tongues 11 and 12 arrayed adjacent in the web longitudinal direction, which protrude upward freely and bulge out concavely and convexly alternately with respect to web-parallel axes in relation to the wall leg 3. As can be inferred from
According to
In addition, the mount 1 can be provided with at least one resilient locking hook 16, which latches in a catch receptacle 17 of the finishing strip 9 when the finishing strip 9 is plugged onto the receptacle web 8 of the mount 1, to additionally secure the finishing strip 9 from being unintentionally pulled off of the mount 1.
