Abstract
Device for feeding caps to a capping machine, comprising a cap transport route along which the caps advance In a continuous fashion between an entrance section and an exit section, in which the transport route contains a mobile buffer stock of caps advancing jointly as the caps leave said exit section. The transport route is provided with a plurality of holes to supply jets of air such as to cause the caps to advance jointly along the transport route.
Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

An embodiment of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings, provided as a simple example without limiting intent, in which:

FIG. 1 is a side view in diagram form of a device for feeding caps according to the present invention,

FIG. 2 is a plan view in the direction indicated by arrow II in FIG. 1,

FIG. 3 is a section along the line III of FIG. 2, and

FIG. 4 is an enlarged detail of the part indicated by arrow IV in FIG. 3.

Claims
  • 1. Device for feeding caps to a capping machine, comprising a cap transport route along which the caps advance in a continuous fashion between an entrance section and an exit section, In which the transport route contains a mobile buffer stock of caps advancing jointly as the caps leave said exit section, the transport route being provided with a plurality of holes supplying air jets causing said caps to advance jointly along the transport route.
  • 2. Feeding device according to claim 1, wherein the transport route comprises an advancement guide extending along a serpentine route including a plurality of straight sections linked in series one to the next through a plurality of arched sections.
  • 3. Feeding device according to claim 2, wherein the advancement guide is contained on a plane inclined along the direction of advancement of the caps from a higher to a lower level.
  • 4. Feeding device according to claim 2, including a chamber for distributing air under pressure, said chamber being provided with a plurality of holes through which air jets exit so as to cause the caps to advance along the advancement guide.
  • 5. Feeding device according to claim 4, wherein said chamber extends along the route of the advancement guide.
  • 6. Feeding device according to claim 5, wherein the distribution chamber has an upper wall provided with said holes, said upper wall forming a bottom wall of the advancement guide.
  • 7. Feeding device according claim 1, characterised in that the transport route includes an entrance and an exit for a flow of washing water.
  • 8. Device for washing and/or drying caps for containers, including a cap transport route along which the caps advance In a continuous fashion between an entrance section and an exit section, in which the transport route contains a mobile buffer stock of caps advancing jointly as the caps leave said exit section.
