Claims
- 1. A fishing lure comprising:
- a body portion formed in a contour to simulate bait for fish;
- a measurement portion integral with said body portion, and including
- a temperature sensing device including a temperature sensing element imbedded a distance of at least about 0.06 inches within a matrix made of thermally insulating and non-wetting material; and
- hook means for engaging a fish attracted by said body portion, whereby a temperature read by said temperature sensing device at a selected depth will be maintained by said matrix material as said lure is retrieved and the temperature at the selected depth is read.
- 2. A fishing lure according to claim 1 wherein said sensing element is imbedded a distance of at least about 0.1 inches within said matrix.
- 3. A fishing lure according to claim 1 wherein said lure contains graduated means for indicating the temperature read at said selected depth.
