Claims
- 1. A measuring unit for use in a device for the automatic examination of blood samples comprising:
- a blood sampling vessel having a base wall, at least one separating wall dividing the vessel into at least two chambers;
- each chamber having an outlet located on the base wall of the vessel a capillary associated with each outlet and positioned adjacent the base wall, and a filter unit associated with each outlet and located adjacent to the base wall;
- each filter unit having at least one aperture in communication with its associated outlet; and
- each capillary being in communication with its associated outlet;
- wherein the measuring unit is formed as a disposable unit.
- 2. The measuring unit of claim 1 further wherein the measuring unit is provided with a housing section having a side wall, the side wall extending to a peak, each capillary being surrounded by the side wall of the housing section.
- 3. The measuring unit of claim 1 further wherein each chamber is provided with a locking clip adjacent to each filter unit, each locking clip having a funnel-shaped opening in communication with the aperture of each filter unit.
- 4. The measuring unit of claim 1 further wherein the unit is constructed of polystyrene or polyvinylchloride.
- 5. The measuring unit of claim 1 further wherein each capillary extends from each outlet of the measuring unit at an acute angle, with respect to an imaginary axis which extends from the separating wall, to a site at a distance from the base wall.
- 6. The measuring unit of claim 5 further wherein the measuring unit is provided with a housing section adjacent to an outside surface of the base wall, the housing section having a side wall, the side wall extending from the base wall at an acute angle with respect to the imaginary axis, each capillary being formed as a through-hole in the housing section.
- 7. The measuring unit of claim 1 further wherein the end of the vessel which is opposite the base wall is open, the filter units being located adjacent an inside surface of the base wall and the capillaries being positioned adjacent an outside surface of the base wall.
- 8. The measuring unit of claim 7 further wherein the open end of the vessel is provided with sealing means which allows lines to be inserted into each chamber in order to generate a vacuum, the separating wall extending from the base wall of the vessel to the open end of the vessel and to the sealing means.
- 9. The measuring unit of claim 8 further wherein the sealing means is an adhesion seal.
- 10. The measuring unit of claim 8 further wherein the sealing means comprises an elastic membrane which extends across the open end of the vessel, the membrane being capable of sealing any holes that result from the insertion of the lines upon removal of the lines from the membrane.
- 11. The measuring unit of claim 10 further wherein the elastic membrane is constructed of rubber or plastic material.
