Abstract
A device for enjoying an outdoor space, wherein the device provides a parasol connected to a distal end of a pole, wherein a parasol fan is disposed along an inner surface of the parasol so as to direct airflow downward in the direction of the pole, and wherein a net disposed downward of the parasol fan, wherein the net defines a compartment between the net and a portion of the inner surface of the parasol that the parasol fan occupies.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for leisurely enjoying an outdoor space and, more particularly, to a system for cooling, along with sunshine protection, and unpleasant interruption by annoying insects likely to prevent well deserve relaxing moment in one's private outdoor space.

Climate change, in some locales, may result in extreme temperatures and more frequent insect outbreaks, which may put a damper on those who like to kickback and relax in their backyard or other outdoor venues.

Leisure enjoyment in one's backyard or the outdoors can be stymied by oppressively hot weather and/or the presence of invasive insects.

Some solutions attempt to prevent direct exposure to the sun but without a cooling system. Other solutions provide the cooling system with no consideration for preventing bugs and insects from ruining freely, thereby making things miserable during a well-earned relaxing moment.

The lack of a complete solution incorporating protection from sunlight using cooling systems to combat elevated temperatures as well as a method of preventing insects from ruining one's backyard life is a problem not yet solved by any of prior inventions.

As can be seen, there is a need for a single solution when confronting high temperatures, insect infestation, and sunshine when trying to leisurely enjoy the outdoors.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention makes it possible to relax anywhere outside one wants to sit, thereby allowing for the leisure enjoyment of one's backyard life.

The present invention provides everything necessary to comfortably enjoy outdoor rest and relaxation, including a source of energy, a cooling fan, and device charging stations, whereby the present invention prevents direct exposure to the sun and stymies insects. The present invention also delivers enough air and cooling airflow to leisurely enjoy the outdoors in the presence of flying insects and extreme temperatures and sunlight.

In one aspect of the present invention, device for enjoying an outdoor space, the device includes the following: a parasol connected to a distal end of a pole; a parasol fan disposed along an inner surface of the parasol so as to direct airflow downward; and a net disposed downward outside of the parasol fan, wherein the inside net that covers the inner surface of the parasol fan prevents children from unintentional direct contact with the fan. The outside net that runs from the edge of the umbrella serves as a buffer that prevents bugs from gaining direct contact with people under the umbrella.

In another aspect of the present invention, the device further includes a solar fabric along an outer surface of the parasol for powering one or more electronic device chargers operatively associated with the pole.

These and other features, aspects and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings, description, and claims.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a schematic elevation view of an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a top plan view of an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a schematic elevation view of an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated modes of carrying out exemplary embodiments of the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.

Referring to FIGS. 1 through 3, the present invention may include a parasol 10, 30 sized to accommodate a plurality of people. Parasol 10, 30 has a pole 14, 24 that extends to a base 16, 36 that supports the parasol 10, 30 on a supporting surface. A motor may be mounted to pole 14, 24 to be operably connected to a parasol fan 26. The parasol fan 26 may be attached to the main parasol fabric cover and depends downwardly therefrom. This causes the fan blades to present direct flow of air downwardly when the motor is operating. A remote 22, 42 may be operatively associated with the parasol fan 26 so that users can control the parasol fan 26 from a distance.

A net 24 may be disposed downward of the parasol fan 26, extending in a generally straight line whose endpoints both lie on the circular arc of the open parasol 10, 30, thereby forming a compartment for the parasol fan 26 between the fabric cover and the net 24. The net 24 may be an insect preventable net.

Along the exterior surface of the parasol fabric may be a solar fabric 12 that is configured to collect solar energy which can power the motor and charging ports 38, 18. In one embodiment, the solar fabric may be integrated along the cover of the parasol fabric. In another embodiment, a stand-alone solar panel 32 may be electrically connected to the motor as well as the charging ports 38, 18 for charging electronic devices 20.

Parasol 10, 30 by itself can prevent direct exposure to sunshine. The fan 24 works in contact with solar fabric 12 or the solar panel 32. The pole(s) 16, 36 make it possible for the parasol 10, 30 to stand and function as per the present invention. The charging stations 18, 38 built into the pole(s) 16, 36 make it possible to charge available mobile devices 20. The chairs provide a satisfactory way to sit down and enjoy.

A method of making the present invention may include the following, wherein a first step in manufacturing parasol 10 is attaching the solar fabric 22. This will be followed by the cooling fan 26 being attached or made part of the parasol 10, 30. After that is the pole(s) 14, 34 designed to hold the parasol from falling along with the charging stations to be connected to the solar fabric or a stand-alone solar panel 32. The insect-preventing net 24 comes next, and the last part is the chairs to make it possible for its occupants to sit and enjoy.
