Claims
- 1. In devices for mounting a display board frame on a wall, said frame having first and second attachment surfaces one on each opposed spaced apart first and second edges of said frame, the improvement comprising
a first bracket means adapted for mounting on said wall,
said first bracket means having a flange on one end adapted to supportingly engage said first attachment surface on said first edge of said display board frame, a second bracket means adapted for movable mounting on said wall in a position corresponding to said second attachment surface on said second edge of said display board frame,
said second bracket means having a flange adapted for engaging said second attachment surface, said second bracket flange adapted to have a first position spaced apart from but in alignment with said second attachment surface on said second edge of said display board frame; said second bracket means having a member adapted for moving it from said first position to a second position wherein said flange engages said second edge of said display board frame to secure said frame on said wall.
- 2. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein said second bracket moving member comprises an elongated slot on said second bracket means.
- 3. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein said bracket means flange has a hook for engaging one of said attachment surfaces.
- 4. In the mounting devices recited in claim 3, wherein said hook is bent in the direction of and adapted to engage said frame.
- 5. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein the flange of said first bracket means and the flange of said second bracket means are bent in opposed directions.
- 6. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein each of said bracket means has a plurality of apertures each adapted to receive fasteners therethrough for securing said bracket means to a wall.
- 7. In the mounting devices recited in claim 2, wherein said slotted bracket has indicia for marking its intended position on a wall.
- 8. In the mounting devices recited in claim 7, wherein said indicia comprises spaced apart aligned elements arranged on said slotted bracket.
- 9. In the mounting devices recited in claim 8, wherein said elements comprise slots.
- 10. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1 wherein said frame attachment surfaces comprise longitudinal channels arranged on the peripheral edges of said frame.
- 11. In the mounting devices recited in claim 9, wherein said flanges are adapted to engage said channels.
- 12. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein each of said bracket means comprises a flat plate adapted for securement to a wall.
- 13. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein said first bracket means comprises multiple like plates.
- 14. In the mounting devices recited in claim 1, wherein said second bracket means comprises multiple like plates.
- 15. A method for mounting a display board frame on a wall, said frame having first and second attachment surfaces one on each opposed spaced apart first and second edges of said frame, the method comprising
securing first bracket means in a selected position on a wall; placing the first attachment surface of said first edge of said frame on said first bracket; moving said frame against said wall; marking the position on said wall where the second attachment surface of said frame is moved against said wall; mounting second bracket means on said wall at said marked position,
said second bracket means having structure for moving said bracket means from a first position to a second position, and moving said second bracket means from said first position to said second position to engage said second attachment surface of said frame.
- 16. In the mounting method recited in claim 15, wherein said first bracket means has flange means, and said flange means engages said first attachment surface.
- 17. In the mounting method recited in claim 15, wherein said attachment surfaces comprise a longitudinal channel arranged on the peripheral edges of said frame, and said first and second bracket means is seated in said channel.
- 18. In the mounting method recited in claim 17, wherein said bracket means each have a hook on one end which engages said channel.
- 19. In the mounting method recited in claim 15, wherein said second bracket means moving structure comprises an elongated slot arranged in said second bracket means, and said second bracket means is selectively moved along said slot toward and away from said second attachment surface of said frame.
- 20. In the mounting method recited in claim 15, wherein said first bracket means comprises a pair of plates arranged in horizontal alignment on said wall.
- 21. In the mounting method recited in claim 15, wherein said second bracket means comprises a pair of plates arrange in horizontal alignment on said wall.
- 22. In the mounting method recited in claim 15, wherein said first and second bracket means are vertically aligned.
