Claims
- 1. A display device comprising:
(a) a cathode; (b) an anode; (c) a luminescent region between the cathode and the anode; and (d) an optional region adjacent to the cathode or the anode, wherein the device includes a plurality of metal-organic mixed layers disposed at one or more of the cathode, the anode, the luminescent region and the optional region, wherein each of the metal-organic mixed layers comprises:
(i) an inorganic metal containing material, and (ii) an organic material.
- 2. The device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of the metal-organic mixed layers is disposed at one of the cathode, the anode, the luminescent region and the optional region.
- 3. The device of claim 1, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers are non-adjacent.
- 4. The device of claim 1, wherein the number of metal-organic mixed layers ranges from two to three.
- 5. The device of claim 1, wherein each of the metal-organic mixed layers further comprises: (iii) a component selected from the group consisting of metals, organic materials, and inorganic materials.
- 6. The device of claim 1, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at the same concentration.
- 7. The device of claim 1, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at different concentrations.
- 8. The device of claim 1, wherein the same inorganic metal containing material in the same or different concentration, wherein the inorganic metal containing material is selected from the group consisting of silver and a silver compound.
- 9. The device of claim 1, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at the same concentration and the same organic material at the same concentration.
- 10. The device of claim 1, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at different concentrations and the same organic material at different concentrations.
- 11. The device of claim 1, wherein the anode comprises indium-tin-oxide.
- 12. A display device comprising:
(a) a cathode; (b) an anode; and (c) a luminescent region between the cathode and the anode, wherein the cathode includes a plurality of metal-organic mixed layers, wherein each of the metal-organic mixed layers comprises:
(i) an inorganic metal containing material, and (ii) an organic material.
- 13. The device of claim 12, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers are adjacent.
- 14. The device of claim 12, wherein the number of metal-organic mixed layers ranges from two to three.
- 15. The device of claim 12, wherein each of the metal-organic mixed layers further comprises: (iii) a component selected from the group consisting of metals, organic materials, and inorganic materials.
- 16. The device of claim 12, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at the same concentration.
- 17. The device of claim 12, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at different concentrations.
- 18. The device of claim 12, wherein the same inorganic metal containing material in the same or different concentration, wherein the inorganic metal containing material is selected from the group consisting of silver and a silver compound.
- 19. The device of claim 12, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at the same concentration and the same organic material at the same concentration.
- 20. The device of claim 12, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at different concentrations and the same organic material at different concentrations.
- 21. The device of claim 12, wherein the anode comprises indium-tin-oxide.
- 22. A display device comprising:
(a) a cathode; (b) an anode; (c) a luminescent region between the cathode and the anode; and (d) an optional region adjacent to the cathode or the anode, wherein the device includes a plurality of adjacent metal-organic mixed layers disposed at one or more of the cathode, the anode, the luminescent region and the optional region, wherein each of the metal-organic mixed layers comprises:
(i) an inorganic metal containing material, and (ii) an organic material.
- 23. The device of claim 22, wherein the plurality of the metal-organic mixed layers is disposed at one of the cathode, the anode, the luminescent region and the optional region.
- 24. The device of claim 22, wherein the number of metal-organic mixed layers ranges from two to three.
- 25. The device of claim 22, wherein each of the metal-organic mixed layers further comprises: (iii) a component selected from the group consisting of metals, organic materials, and inorganic materials.
- 26. The device of claim 22, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at the same concentration.
- 27. The device of claim 22, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at different concentrations.
- 28. The device of claim 22, wherein the same inorganic metal containing material in the same or different concentration, wherein the inorganic metal containing material is selected from the group consisting of silver and a silver compound.
- 29. The device of claim 22, wherein the metal-organic mixed layers include the same inorganic metal containing material at different concentrations and the same organic material at different concentrations.
- 30. The device of claim 22, wherein the anode comprises indium-tin-oxide.
