Claims
- 1. A diacylated derivative of .gamma.-glutamyl dopamine selected from the group consisting of ##STR6## where R is a phenyl ring or benzyl and R' is H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, and a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
- 2. A derivative according to claim 1 which is a hydrochloride salt.
- 3. A derivative according to claim 1, wherein R is ##STR7## and R' is H.
- 4. A derivative according to claim 3, [N.sup.5 -.beta.-(3,4-dibenzoyloxyphenyl)ethyl]-glutamine.
- 5. A derivative according to claim 1, wherein R is ##STR8## and R' is H.
- 6. A derivative according to claim 5, [N.sup.5 -.beta.-(3,4-diphenylacetoxyphenyl)ethyl]-glutamine.
- 7. A method of increasing renal blood flow of warm-blooded animals which comprises administering to said mammals at least an effective amount of a renal vasodilator compound comprising a diacylated derivative of .gamma.-glutamyl dopamine selected from the group consisting of ##STR9## where R is a phenyl ring or benzyl and R' is H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, and a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
- 8. The method of claim 7, wherein said salt is a hydrochloride salt.
- 9. The pharmaceutical composition in unit dosage form effective in increasing renal blood flow which comprises an active portion comprising a diacylated derivative of .gamma.-glutamyl dopamine selected from the group consisting of ##STR10## where R is a phenyl ring or benzyl and R' is H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 alkyl, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 10. The composition of claim 9 wherein said derivative is a hydrochloride salt.
