Claims
- 1. A diagnostic device for a source of liquid sample, comprising:
- an elongated receptacle having a culture medium longitudinally disposed in a generally planar configuration along a wall of the receptacle;
- pump means connected intermediate the source and receptacle;
- means in addition to the pump means for directing the sample from the pump means into the receptacle only adjacent one end of said medium for passage along the medium; and
- an absorbent pad located adjacent the other end of the medium remote from the directing means to capture and retain excess liquid.
- 2. The device of claim 1 wherein said receptacle includes a plurality of longitudinally aligned culture media, and the directing means directs the sample adjacent one end of the aligned media.
