Claims
- 1. A programming and printing system, for programming and printing a plurality of portable signal generators, comprising:(a) a programming system for providing unique account number data to each of said portable generators; and (b) a printing system for applying variable imprinted data to each of said portable signal generators which corresponds to, and is determined at least in part by, said programmed unique account number data.
- 2. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1:wherein said variable imprinted data corresponds to, and is determined at least in part by, at least one of the following: (1) a unique account code; (2) a unique authorization code; and (3) P.I.N. data.
- 3. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1:wherein said variable imprinted data corresponds to, and is determined at least in part by, at least one of the following: (1) account code data; (2) authorization code data; (3) P.I.N. data; (4) name data; (5) telephone number data; and (6) graphical image data.
- 4. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1 wherein:said variable imprinted data is determined at least in part by control data including at least one of: (1) registration information for determining positions of said variable imprinted data; (2) font color information; and (3) font type information.
- 5. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, further comprising:(c) shipping documentation generation system for creating related shipping documentation.
- 6. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming system is utilized to provide at least said unique account number data to said memory utilizing a releasable electrical connection.
- 7. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming system is utilized to provide at least said unique account number data to said memory utilizing a sonic input.
- 8. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming system is utilized to provide at least said unique account number data to said memory utilizing a light signal detector.
- 9. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming system is utilized to provide at least said unique account number data to said memory utilizing a wireless connection.
- 10. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming system utilizes printed data generated by said printing system to perform programming operations.
- 11. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming operation and printing operation are conducted simultaneously or substantially at the same time.
- 12. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming operation is conducted prior to printing operations.
- 13. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said printing operations are conducted prior to programming operations.
- 14. A programming and printing system, according to claim 1, wherein said programming operation is tested prior to said printing operation.
- 15. A method of fabricating a telephone dialing system, comprising:(a) providing a carrier including at least one print-receiving surface; (b) locating a memory within said carrier which is adapted for receipt of at least unique account number data; (c) programming unique account number data into said memory; and (d) printing variable imprinted data onto said at least one print-receiving surface which corresponds to and is determined at least in part by said programmed unique account number data.
- 16. A method of fabricating a telephone dialing system, according to claim 15, wherein said step of printing precedes said step of programming.
- 17. A method of fabricating a telephone dialing system, according to claim 15, wherein said step of programming precedes said step of printing.
- 18. A portable electronic card system, comprising:(a) a communication access card, including: (1) a carrier including at least one print-receiving surface; (2) a memory located within said carrier and adapted for receipt of at least unique account number data; (3) an output device for initiating access to telephonic communication services; (4) an actuable mechanism for initiating the generation of: (a) a uniform command signal associated with a uniform access number; and (b) said unique account number; (5) variable imprinted data carried on said at least one print receiving surface corresponding to and determined at least in part by said unique account number data; (b) a programming system for providing said unique account number data to said memory; and (c) a printing system for applying said variable imprinted data to said at least one print-receiving surface.
- 19. An account access system, comprising:(a) a portable electronic card, including: (1) a carrier including at least one print-receiving surface; (2) a memory located within said carrier and adapted for receipt of at least unique account number data; (3) an output device for initiating access to account services; (4) an actuable mechanism for initiating the generation of: (a) a uniform command signal associated with a uniform access number; and (b) said unique account number; (5) variable imprinted data carried on said at least one print receiving surface corresponding to and determined at least in part by said unique account number data; (b) a programming system for providing said unique account number data to said memory; and (c) a printing system for applying said variable imprinted data to said at least one print-receiving surface.
- 20. An account access system system, according to claim 19, wherein said carrier comprises a generally rectangular housing.
- 21. An account access system system, according to claim 19, wherein said at least one print-receiving surface comprises a generally flat surface.
- 22. An account access system system, according to claim 19, wherein at least one print-receiving surface comprises a planar surface.
- 23. An account access system system, according to claim 19, wherein said carrier comprises a generally credit-card sized housing.
- 24. An account access system system, according to claim 19, wherein said carrier comprises a plastic case housing.
- 25. An account access system system, according to claim 19, wherein said carrier includes at least one programming interface portion.
