Claims
- 1. An approximately 225 kilodalton dipeptidylaminopeptidase (dDAP enzyme) having a pH optimum of approximately 3.5 isolated from Dictyostelium discoideum.
- 2. A method of isolating an approximately 225 kilodalton dDAP enzyme having a pH optimum of approximately 3.5 from a culture of Dictyostelium discoideum, said method comprising
- a) obtaining cell free media from the culture fluid,
- b) subjecting said media to anion exchange chromatography, and
- c) subjecting the eluant from step b) to hydrophobic interaction chromatography.
- 3. The method of claim 2 which further comprises
- d) subjecting the eluant from step c) to size exclusion chromatography.
- 4. The approximately 225 kilodalton dDAP enzyme having a pH optimum of approximately 3.5 purified by the method of claim 2.
