Claims
- 1. A dicyanopyrazine compound of the formula (I): ##STR12## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.6 cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl, propenyl or propynyl; R.sub.2 is C.sub.2 -C.sub.7 alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 alkynyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl, benzyl, chlorobenzyl, methylbenzyl, ##STR13## or thienylmethyl; and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, provided that at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is an alky group having four or more carbon atoms.
- 2. A fungicide, comprising:
- a) an effective amount of a dicyanopyrazine compound of the formula (I): ##STR14## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.6 cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl, propenyl or propynyl; R.sub.2 is C.sub.2 -C.sub.7 alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 alkynyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl, benzyl, chlorobenzyl, methylbenzyl, ##STR15## or thienylmethyl; and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, provided that at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is an alkyl group having four or more carbon atoms;
- b) a carrier or diluent.
- 3. The fungicide according to claim 2, wherein said dicyanopyrazine compound is contained in the amount of from 0.5 to 20% by weight.
- 4. The fungicide according to claim 3, wherein said dicyanopyrazine compound is contained in the amount of from 1 to 10% by weight.
