Claims
- 1. A pharmaceutical composition for treatment of mental and psychosomatic disorders and for treatment of stressed or aggressive animals for improving weight gain which comprises a pharmaceutically effective amount of a compound of the formula I ##STR15## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are groups independently selected from the group of hydrogen, alkyl straight or branched chains having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl having from 3 to 8 carbon atoms, aralkyl having from 7 to 9 carbon atoms, alkenyl having from 2 to 10 carbon atoms, phenyl unsubstituted or substituted by one to three substituents selected from halogen, including F, Cl and Br, lower alkyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, lower alkoxy having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, amine unsubstituted or substituted by one or two lower alkyl groups having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, --CF.sub.3 and --CN groups, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are groups independently selected from hydrogen, lower alkyl having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and phenyl, R.sub.7 is a group selected from hydrogen, halogen including F, Cl and Br, lower alkoxy having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and --CF.sub.3 groups, and X is O or S, or pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 2. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the active ingredient is a compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different and are hydrogen or alkyl of from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, wherein R.sub.3 to R.sub.7 are as defined above, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 3. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the active ingredient is a compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different and are cycloalkyl of from 3 to 8 carbon atoms, wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.7 are as defined above, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 4. A method of treating aggressive or stressed animals for improving weight gain which comprises administering a compound of formula I as defined in claim 1 to said stressed or aggressive animals.
- 5. A method of treating aggressive or stressed animals for improving weight gain which comprises administering a compound of formula I as defined in claim 2.
- 6. A method of treating human beings and animals suffering from mental and psychosomatic disorders by administering a mental disorder- and psychosomatic disorder-inhibiting amount of a compound of formula I as defined in claim 2 to said human beings and animals.
- 7. A method of treating human beings and animals suffering from mental and psychosomatic disorders by administering a mental disorder- and psychosomatic disorder-inhibiting amount of a compound of formula I as defined in claim 3 to said human beings and animals.
- 8. A method of treating human beings and animals suffering from mental and psychosomatic disorders by administering a mental disorder- and psychosomatic disorder-inhibiting amount of a compound of formula I as defined in claim 1 to said human beings and animals.
