Claims
- 1. A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a recording medium housed in a disc cartridge, comprising:
- a main body on which the disc cartridge is loaded,
- a lid rotatably mounted on said main body for opening and closing a loading device of the main body on which the disc cartridge is loaded,
- a lock member slidably mounted on one of the main body and the lid, and
- a locked part and a lid lock detection switch both mounted on the other of the main body and the lid,
- wherein said lock member is slidable relative to the one of the main body and the lid between a lock position and a lock release position such that when said lid is positioned in a locking position in a state of closing said loading device and said lock member is slid into said lock position, said lock member engages said locked part and engages said lid lock detection switch to actuate said switch, and when said lock member is moved to said lock release position, said lock member disengages from said locked part and disengages from its operation on said lid lock detection switch.
- 2. The recording and/or reproducing apparatus as claimed in claim 1 further comprising:
- a recording and/or reproducing unit arranged in said main body for loading the disc cartridge thereon and recording and/or reproducing information signals on or from said recording medium,
- a loading detection switch that is engaged with and actuated by said disc cartridge when said disc cartridge is loaded on said recording and/or reproducing unit, and
- a control circuit for controlling the operation of said recording and/or reproducing unit, said control circuit inhibiting a start of operation of said recording and/or reproducing unit unless both the loading detection switch and the lid lock detection switch are actuated.
- 3. The recording and/or reproducing apparatus as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
- a detection pin formed on said lock member for pushing the lock detection switch in a direction parallel to a sliding direction of the lock member.
- 4. The recording and/or reproducing apparatus as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
- a transmission arm slidably disposed on said lid and having a first end that engages said detection pin and a second end for engaging with and pushing said lock detection switch.
