Claims
- 1. A disc drive suspension comprising:
a load beam having a proximal portion and a distal end portion; a hinge member having an end portion on which the proximal portion of the load beam is fixed, a flexible portion elastically deformable in a thickness direction; a flexure fixed on the load beam and provided with a head portion; an extending portion extending sideways from the base plate mounting portion of the hinge member and having a part of the flexure fixed thereon; a first hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the extending portion, adapted for the insertion of a first positioning pin therein, and allowing the extending portion to move relatively to the first positioning pin in a width direction; a large-diameter second hole formed in the extending portion, adapted for the insertion of a second positioning pin therein, and allowing the extending portion to move relatively to the second positioning pin in the width direction and an axial direction of the extending portion; a third hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the flexure, adapted for the insertion of the first positioning pin therein, and allowing the flexure to move relatively to the first positioning pin in the axial direction of the flexure; and a fourth hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the flexure, adapted for the insertion of the second positioning pin therein, and allowing the flexure to move relatively to the second positioning pin in the axial direction of the flexure.
- 2. A disc drive suspension comprising:
a load beam having a proximal portion and a distal end portion; a flexure fixed on the load beam and provided with a head portion; an extending portion extending sideways from the proximal portion of the load beam and having a part of the flexure fixed thereon; a first hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the extending portion, adapted for the insertion of a first positioning pin therein, and allowing the extending portion to move relatively to the first positioning pin in a width direction; a large-diameter second hole formed in the extending portion, adapted for the insertion of a second positioning pin therein, and allowing the extending portion to move relatively to the second positioning pin in the width direction and an axial direction of the extending portion; a third hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the flexure, adapted for the insertion of the first positioning pin therein, and allowing the flexure to move relatively to the first positioning pin in the axial direction of the flexure; and a fourth hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the flexure, adapted for the insertion of the second positioning pin therein, and allowing the flexure to move relatively to the second positioning pin in the axial direction of the flexure.
- 3. A disc drive suspension comprising:
a load beam having a base plate mounting portion on which a base plate is fixed and a distal end portion independent of the base plate mounting portion; a hinge member connecting the base plate mounting portion and the distal end portion of the load beam; a flexure fixed on the load beam and provided with a head portion; an extending portion provided on the lateral of the base plate mounting portion of the load beam and fixing a longitudinal intermediate portion of the flexure; a first hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the extending portion, adapted for the insertion of a first positioning pin therein, and allowing the extending portion to move relatively to the first positioning pin in a width direction; a large-diameter second hole formed in the extending portion, adapted for the insertion of a second positioning pin therein, and allowing the extending portion to move relatively to the second positioning pin in the width direction and an axial direction of the extending portion; a third hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the flexure, adapted for the insertion of the first positioning pin therein, and allowing the flexure to move relatively to the first positioning pin in the axial direction of the flexure; and a fourth hole in the form of an elongated hole formed in the flexure, adapted for the insertion of the second positioning pin therein, and allowing the flexure to move relatively to the second positioning pin in the axial direction of the flexure.
- 4. A disc drive suspension according to claim 1, wherein a longitudinal part of said flexure passes over a slit formed in the hinge member.
- 5. A disc drive suspension according to claim 2, wherein a longitudinal part of said flexure passes over a slit formed in the hinge member.
- 6. A disc drive suspension according to claim 3, wherein a longitudinal part of said flexure passes over a slit formed in the hinge member.
- 7. A disc drive suspension according to claim 1, wherein an end portion of said flexure extends rearward from the base plate mounting portion.
- 8. A disc drive suspension according to claim 2, wherein an end portion of said flexure extends rearward from the base plate mounting portion.
- 9. A disc drive suspension according to claim 3, wherein an end portion of said flexure extends rearward from the base plate mounting portion.
- 10. A disc drive suspension according to claim 1, wherein said extending portion is formed having a step forming portion with a difference in level in the thickness direction.
- 11. A disc drive suspension according to claim 2, wherein said extending portion is formed having a step forming portion with a difference in level in the thickness direction.
- 12. A disc drive suspension according to claim 3, wherein said extending portion is formed having a step forming portion with a difference in level in the thickness direction.
