Claims
- 1. A process of fixing discs in disc packages comprising advancing a multiple panel paper board package pre-assembly, placing adhesive on a panel of the package, pre assembling a disc on a carrier and forming a loaded disc-holding assembly, placing the loaded disc-holding assembly on the adhesive on the panel of the package and completing the package.
- 2. The process of claim 1, further comprising closing the package.
- 3. The process of claim 1, wherein the multiple panel paper board package has a base panel and a cover panel and a spine panel interposed between the base panel and the cover panel and wherein the placing adhesive comprises placing adhesive on the base panel and the placing of the loaded disc-holding assembly comprises placing the loaded disc-holding assembly on the base panel.
- 4. The process of claim 3, further comprising folding a spine panel around the disc-holding assembly, and folding the cover panel over the disc-holding assembly.
- 5. The process of claim 4, further comprising inserting a booklet in a pocket in the cover panel before the folding.
- 6. The process of claim 1, wherein the carrier is a plastic tray and the pre-assembling comprises loading the disc in the tray.
- 7. The process of claim 1, wherein the tray has a rosette and wherein the assembling comprises snapping the disc on the rosette.
- 8. The process of claim 1, wherein the multiple panel paper board package has multiple loaded disc-holding assembly-receiving panels, and wherein the pre-assembling comprises pre-assembling multiple discs on multiple carriers and placing the multiple disc-holding assemblies on the multiple assembly-receiving panels.
- 9. The process of claim 1, wherein the carrier is a tray having a disc-holding paper board package and wherein unstacked creased paper boards are creased separating relatively large panels and interposed spine panels, wherein preloading discs have disc carriers using relatively close tolerances between the carriers and the discs and wherein the preloaded disc carriers are attached to the relatively large panels of the paper boards having relatively relaxed tolerances and forming disc-holding paper board packages.
- 10. The process of claim 9, wherein the carriers are trays having bases, sidewalls, central disc receiving wells and rosettes centered in the wells and wherein the discs are snapped on to the rosettes and are positioned in the wells before attaching the disc-preloaded trays to the panels.
- 11. A method of assembling a CD or DVD disc-holding package comprising preloading a disc in a carrier and creating a loaded disc assembly, moving a multiple panel paper board package along a conveyor, mounting the loaded disc assembly on the paper board package and thereby creating a disc-holding package.
- 12. The method of claim 11, further comprising closing the package.
- 13. The method of claim 11, further comprising providing a multiple panel paper board package and providing interposing a base panel and a cover panel and a spine panel between the base panel and the cover panel, providing placing the adhesive comprises placing adhesive on the base panel and the placing of the loaded disc-holding assembly comprises placing the loaded disc-holding assembly on the base panel.
- 14. The method of claim 13, further comprising providing folding a spine panel around the disc-holding assembly, and providing folding the cover panel over the disc-holding assembly.
- 15. The method of claim 14, further comprising inserting a booklet in a pocket in the cover panel before the folding.
- 16. The method of claim 11, further comprising providing the carrier is a plastic tray and pre-assembling comprises loading the disc in the tray.
- 17. The method of claim 11, further comprising providing the tray with a rosette and providing the assembling comprises snapping the disc on the rosette.
- 18. The method of claim 11, further comprising providing the multiple panel paper board package with multiple loaded disc-holding assembly-receiving panels, providing the pre-assembling for pre-assembling multiple discs on multiple carriers and placing the multiple disc-holding assemblies on the multiple assembly-receiving panels.
- 19. A method of forming disc-holding paper board package comprising unstacking creased paper boards having creases separating relatively large panels and interposed spine panels, preloading discs into disc carriers using relatively close tolerances between the carriers and the discs, attaching the preloaded disc carriers to the relatively large panels of the paper boards using relatively relaxed tolerances and thereby forming disc-holding paper board packages.
- 20. The process of claim 19, wherein the carriers are trays having bases, sidewalls, central disc receiving wells and rosettes centered in the wells and wherein the discs are snapped on to the rosettes and are positioned in the wells before attaching the disc-preloaded trays to the panels.
