Claims
- 1. A disk reproducing device comprising:
clock signal extracting means for extracting a clock signal from a reproduced signal; signal-processing clock signal generating means for generating a clock signal for signal processing from said clock signal extracting means; and cumulative clock signal error feed-back means for feeding back a cumulative clock signal error between said clock signal extracting means and said signal processing clock-signal generating means, to a spindle motor, said device having a function of holding an oscillation frequency of said signal-processing clock-signal generating means, on the basis of an error detection signal judged in said cumulative clock signal error feed-back means.
- 2. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 1, wherein hold signal generating means is configured so as to output a hold signal, a width of said signal being shorter than a predetermined period.
- 3. A disk reproducing method in which a variable linear velocity reproduction function is provided and two or more final target linear velocities can be set, wherein
a disk is rotated at a first linear velocity, and the disk is then rotated at a second linear velocity which is higher than the first linear velocity, servo properties are automatically adjusted after the first linear velocity is attained, reproduction of a management region into which contents of the disk are written is started during a period when the first linear velocity is increased to the second linear velocity, and after information of the management region is reproduced, reproduction of a data region is enabled.
- 4. A disk reproducing device comprising:
variable linear velocity reproducing means; spindle servo property switching means for using a plurality of closed loop properties for controlling a spindle motor, with switching over the properties; linear velocity supervisory means for supervising a linear velocity reproduced from said variable linear velocity reproducing means; and spindle control switching means for switching over properties of said spindle servo property switching means with references to a judgement result of said linear velocity supervisory means.
- 5. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 4, wherein, during a period when the linear velocity has not yet reached a target linear velocity, spindle control switching means selects a first closed loop property, and, after the linear velocity has reached the target, selects a second closed loop property which is larger in gain than the first closed loop property.
- 6. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 5, wherein the first closed loop property has two kinds of properties corresponding to acceleration and deceleration directions of the spindle motor.
- 7. A disk reproducing method which contains variable linear velocity reproduction, and a read-ahead process in which data are reproduced from data reproduction blocks, the number of the data reproduction blocks being larger than a block number requested in one data reproduction request, wherein
a first closed loop control of a spindle motor is performed with reference to a period when blocks corresponding to the data reproduction request are to be reproduced, and a second control of the spindle motor is performed with reference to a period when the read-ahead process in which no data reproduction request is issued is to be performed.
- 8. A disk reproducing method in accordance with claim 7, wherein the second control has a gain property lower than the first closed loop control.
- 9. A disk reproducing method in accordance with claim 7, wherein the second control is aborted.
- 10. A disk reproducing method in accordance with claim 7, wherein the second control is aborted during a period before a linear velocity reaches a predetermined threshold, and, after the linear velocity reaches the predetermined threshold, a second closed loop control is performed, and a second target linear velocity is linear velocity setting which is lower than a first target linear velocity.
- 11. A disk reproducing device comprising:
variable linear velocity reproducing means; spindle servo property switching means for using a plurality of closed loop properties for controlling a spindle motor, with switching over the properties; cycle detecting means for detecting a rotational cycle of a disk; and spindle control switching means for switching over properties of said spindle servo property switching means with reference to an output of said cycle detecting means.
- 12. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 11, wherein the spindle control switching means has a spindle acceleration/deceleration judgement step of, in access to a target address, judging whether a control direction of a rotational speed of a spindle is acceleration or deceleration.
- 13. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 12, wherein, when the control direction of the rotational speed of the spindle is acceleration, the spindle control switching means selects a first closed loop property, and, when the control direction is deceleration, selects a second closed loop property which is larger in gain than the first closed loop property.
- 14. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 12, wherein, after the linear velocity reaches a speed at which variable linear velocity reproduction is enabled, the spindle control switching means selects a third closed loop property.
- 15. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 12, wherein, after a pickup reaches a target position on a disk, the spindle control switching means selects a third closed loop property.
- 16. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 14, wherein, when the control direction of the rotational speed of the spindle is acceleration, the third closed loop property increases a gain.
- 17. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 14, wherein, when the control direction of the rotational speed of the spindle is deceleration, the third closed loop property reduces a gain.
- 18. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 17, wherein, after the linear velocity ends a variable linear velocity reproduction period and reaches a target linear velocity, the spindle control switching means selects a fourth closed loop property.
- 19. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 18, wherein the gain of the third closed loop property is zero.
- 20. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 19, wherein, when the third closed loop property is to be switched to the fourth closed loop property, the spindle control switching means temporarily reduces the gain of the closed loop property.
- 21. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 12, wherein, in access to the target address, a gain of a closed loop property of a spindle servo is reduced until a pickup passes through a predetermined position.
- 22. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 12, wherein the spindle acceleration/deceleration judgement step comprises the steps of, in access to the target address:
calculating a target rotational cycle of a disk at a target address point; detecting a disk rotational cycle immediately before the access; comparing the target rotational cycle with the rotational cycle immediately before the access; and judging, from a comparison result of said comparing step, whether the control direction of the rotational speed of the spindle is acceleration or deceleration.
- 23. A disk rotation control method in which spindle servo properties are switched over in accordance with a rotational speed of a disk, wherein said method comprises the steps of, in access to a target address:
obtaining upper and lower limits of a rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at a target address position is enabled; detecting a rotational cycle of the disk immediately before the access; comparing the upper and lower limits with the rotational cycle immediately before the access; and switching over, in accordance with a result of the comparison, closed loop properties of a spindle servo.
- 24. A disk rotation control method in which a pickup is positioned to an arbitrary position on a disk in a radial direction by traverse means including variable linear velocity reproducing means, a rotational cycle of the disk is detected by cycle detecting means, the disk is rotated by spindle motor means, said spindle motor means is used with switching over a plurality of command methods by spindle command switching means, and spindle control switching means instructs a switching method of said spindle command switching means, wherein said method comprises the steps of, in access to a target address:
calculating a target rotational cycle of a spindle motor at a target address position; supplying maximum angular acceleration to said spindle motor means in an open loop until an output of said cycle detecting means reaches the target rotational cycle; when the output of said cycle detecting means reaches the target rotational cycle, interrupting a control signal to said spindle motor means; when a movement of said traverse means is to be stopped, switching to a spindle command method in which said spindle motor means is controlled in a closed loop; obtaining upper and lower limits of a rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled; detecting a rotational cycle of the disk immediately before the access; and comparing the upper and lower limits with the rotational cycle immediately before the access, and switching over the command method of the spindle motor.
- 25. A disk rotation control method in accordance with claim 23, wherein, when the rotational cycle immediately before the access is within a range of the upper and lower limits of the rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled, a spindle control is aborted during a period when the pickup is moved.
- 26. A disk rotation control method in accordance with claim 23, wherein, when the rotational cycle immediately before the access is within a range of the upper and lower limits of the rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled, a gain of a closed loop property of a spindle servo is reduced during a period when the pickup is moved.
- 27. A disk rotation control method in which a disk is rotated at an arbitrary rotational cycle by rotational cycle control means including variable linear velocity reproducing means, and a rotational cycle of the disk is detected by cycle detecting means, wherein said method comprises the steps of:
obtaining, in access to a target address, upper and lower limits of a rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled; detecting a rotational cycle of the disk immediately before the access; comparing the upper and lower limits with the rotational cycle immediately before the access; and determining a target rotational cycle with reference to a result of the comparison, and setting the target rotational cycle to said rotational cycle control means.
- 28. A disk rotation control method in accordance with claim 27, wherein, when the rotational cycle immediately before the access is within a range of the upper and lower limits of the rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled, the rotational cycle immediately before the access is maintained during a period when a pickup is moved.
- 29. A disk rotation control method in accordance with claim 24, wherein, when the rotational cycle immediately before the access exceeds the upper limit of the rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled, the target rotational cycle is set to the upper limit.
- 30. A disk rotation control method in accordance with claim 24, wherein, when the rotational cycle immediately before the access is lower than the lower limit of the rotational cycle of the disk at which reproduction at the target address position is enabled, the target rotational cycle is set to the lower limit.
- 31. A disk reproducing method in which a disk signal is read out by a pickup, and a disk is rotated at a constant angular velocity, wherein said method comprises a step of aborting a control of the pickup during a period other than a period when an access command is executed.
- 32. A disk reproducing device comprising:
clock signal extracting means for extracting a regenerative clock signal from a reproduced signal; synchronization detecting means for detecting a synchronizing signal from the reproduced signal; extracted clock signal verification means for verifying that the regenerative clock signal is correctly extracted; signal processing means for performing variable linear velocity reproduction; target reproducing speed setting means for setting a target reproducing speed; reproducing speed verification means for verifying that a reproducing speed reaches the target reproducing speed; and signal processing start command generating means for outputting a signal processing start command referencing outputs of said extracted clock signal verification means and said reproducing speed verification means.
- 33. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 32, wherein the reproducing speed verification means comprises cycle measuring means for measuring a cycle of the synchronizing signal, and comparison means for comparing an output of said cycle measuring means with the target reproducing speed.
- 34. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 32, wherein the target reproducing speed setting means references a maximum reproducing speed at which the signal processing means can operate, and sets the target reproducing speed.
- 35. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 34, wherein the maximum reproducing speed is fixed threshold.
- 36. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 34, wherein the maximum reproducing speed is updated depending on an ambient temperature in the disk reproducing device.
- 37. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 34, wherein the maximum reproducing speed is updated depending on variations of a power source voltage of the disk reproducing device.
- 38. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 34, wherein the maximum reproducing speed is updated with reference to a result of code error correction of the reproduced signal.
- 39. A disk reproducing device in accordance with claim 32, wherein the target reproducing speed setting means references a minimum reproducing speed at which a system which uses the disk reproducing device can operate, and sets the target reproducing speed.
- 40. A disk reproducing device, in accordance with claim 32, wherein the target reproducing speed setting means sets a target reproducing speed corresponding to a type of a recording and reproducing system of a disk.
