Claims
- 1. A display apparatus comprising:
a face plate having a phosphor screen formed on an inner surface of the face plate; a rear plate opposing the phosphor screen and having a plurality of electron-emitting elements which emit electrons toward the phosphor screen; a transparent insulating substrate opposing an outer surface of the face plate; and a resistive layer provided between the face plate and the insulating substrate.
- 2. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the resistive layer has a sheet resistance of at least 10 Ω/□.
- 3. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the resistive layer includes a transparent conductive film.
- 4. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the resistive layer is formed of filler applied in a gap between the face plate and the insulating substrate.
- 5. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a potential difference between the phosphor screen and the resistive layer is smaller than a potential difference between the resistive layer and the insulating substrate.
- 6. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the face plate has a connecting section which electrically connects the resistive layer to the phosphor screen.
- 7. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the resistive layer and the phosphor screen are electrically connected through a through hole formed in the face plate.
- 8. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the resistive layer and the phosphor screen are electrically connected through a conducting part formed on a side of the face plate.
- 9. The display apparatus according to claim 6, further comprising a potential-applying section which is connected to the resistive layer at a position near the connection section and which applies anode potential to the resistive layer.
