Claims
- 1. An apparatus configured to allow the retention of at least one display board with a mounting structure, the apparatus comprising:
a retaining system comprising a first member comprising a compliant element, and a second member; wherein the compliant element is at least partially deformable to retain at least one display board in an interference fit engagement between the first member and the second member.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the second member is at least partially deformable.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first member and second member are positioned so that the at least one display board is mountable in one of a landscape orientation and a portrait orientation.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the compliant element of the first member comprises at least partially an elastomeric or plastic material.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the compliant element comprises a compressible portion and a rigid portion.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 5 wherein the rigid portion is a core.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the retaining system includes one or more projections configured to deform when engaged with the at least one display board.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the compliant element of the first member comprises a plurality of deformable projections configured to retain the at least one display board.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 8 wherein the first member comprises a grip that provides a holding force that may be adjusted.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the holding force may be adjusted by variations in the shape of the grip.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the variations in the shape comprise variations in the thickness and spacing of deformable fins.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the holding force may be adjusted by one of material, location of the grip, orientation of the grip, and spacing distance of the grip.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the projections extend transversely from the first member.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein the projections extend radially from the first member.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the projections extend axially from the first member.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the retaining system comprises one of a curved member and a peg.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the retaining system comprises a compliant grip portion, a compliant retaining member, and a mounting flange for coupling the compliant retaining member to the mounting structure.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first member is orientated generally parallel to the second member.
- 19. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first member is dimensioned to retain a plurality of display boards.
- 20. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the mounting structure is an easel.
- 21. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first member is coupled to a wall.
- 22. The apparatus of claim 21 wherein the wall is one of a panel wall and an architectural wall.
- 23. An apparatus for use with one or more display boards, the apparatus comprising:
a mounting structure; a retaining system comprising a first member comprising a compliant element, and a second member; wherein the compliant element is at least partially deformable to retain at least one display board in an interference fit engagement between the first member and the second member.
- 24. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein the second member is at least partially deformable.
- 25. The apparatus of claim 24 wherein the at least one display board is pressed-in between the first member and second member.
- 26. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein the compliant element comprises a compressible portion and a rigid portion.
- 27. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein the compliant element of the first member comprises a plurality of deformable projections configured to retain the at least one display board.
- 28. The apparatus of claim 27 wherein the projections extend transversely from the first member.
- 29. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein the retaining system comprises a peg.
- 30. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein the first member is dimensioned to retain a plurality of display boards.
- 31. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein the mounting structure is an easel.
- 32. The apparatus of claim 23 wherein mounting structure comprises a base and a first panel.
- 33. The apparatus of claim 32 wherein the first panel is selectively movable between a first position and a second position.
- 34. The apparatus of claim 33 wherein the first position comprises a first height and the second position comprises a second height.
- 35. The apparatus of claim 32 wherein the base comprises a set of wheels and a storage area configured to store a plurality of display boards.
- 36. An apparatus for use with one or more display boards, the apparatus comprising:
a mounting structure comprising a base and a first panel coupled to the base; wherein the first panel is configured to support the one or more display boards and is selectively movable between a first position and a second position.
- 37. The apparatus of claim 36 wherein the first position comprises a first height and the second position comprises a second height.
- 38. The apparatus of claim 36 wherein the first panel includes one or more grooves and the base includes one or more panel support brackets configured to slideably engage the one or more grooves.
- 39. The apparatus of claim 38 wherein the one or more panel support brackets are configured to releaseably engage the first panel at discreet locations along the groove.
- 40. The apparatus of claim 38 wherein the one or more support brackets comprise a profile configured to support the panel.
- 41. The apparatus of claim 36, further comprising a retaining system comprising a first member comprising a compliant element and a second member, wherein the compliant element is at least partially deformable to retain at least one display board in an interference fit engagement between the first and the second member.
- 42. The apparatus of claim 41 wherein a second display board is retained by the first and second members.
- 43. The apparatus of claim 41 wherein the second member is at least partially deformable.
- 44. The apparatus of claim 36 wherein the first panel includes a first sheet and a second sheet, the first sheet includes a first set of depressions and the second sheet includes a second set of depressions substantially aligned with the first set of depressions.
- 45. The apparatus of claim 44 wherein the first sheet is welded to the second sheet.
- 46. The apparatus of claim 36 wherein the base comprises a storage area configured to store a plurality of display boards.
- 47. The apparatus of claim 46 wherein the storage area comprises a floor and a pair of walls.
- 48. The apparatus of claim 36, further comprising a second panel coupled to the base, the second panel includes a second mounting structure configured to support the one or more display boards.
- 49. The apparatus of claim 36, further comprising a set of wheels coupled to the base.
- 50. The apparatus of claim 36 wherein the mounting structure is an easel.
- 51. An apparatus for use with one or more display boards, the apparatus comprising:
a mounting structure comprising a front frame member and a rear frame member pivotally coupled to the front frame member; a first member slidably coupled to the rear frame member; a second member pivotally coupling the front frame member and the first member; wherein the front frame member and the rear frame member are configured to move relative to each other between an open position and a collapsed position.
- 52. The apparatus of claim 51 wherein the front frame member includes a pair of weighted feet.
- 53. The apparatus of claim 51 wherein the first member comprises a bore configured to slide along the rear frame member when the front frame member and the rear from member move between the open and collapsed portions.
- 54. The apparatus of claim 51 wherein the first member includes a user interface so that if an upward force is applied to the user interface, the front frame member and the rear frame member move towards the collapsed position.
- 55. The apparatus of claim 51 wherein the second member comprises a clip configured to releaseably engage the rear frame member when in the collapsed position.
- 56. The apparatus of claim 55 wherein the clip comprises a pair of curved projections configured to receive the rear frame member in a press-in interference engagement.
- 57. The apparatus of claim 51 wherein the mounting structure is an easel.
