Claims
- 1. A hydrogenation catalyst suitable for hydrogenation of a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising from about 0.1% to about 2.0% by weight each of palladium and platinum, each incorporated onto a support comprising mordenite, said palladium and platinum present in a weight ratio ranging from about 5:1 to about 1:2 and said mordenite having a silicon to aluminum atomic ratio ranging from about 10 to about 40.
- 2. The catalyst of claim 1 wherein said support comprises from about 50% to about 80% by weight mordenite.
- 3. The catalyst of claim 2 wherein said support comprises alumina.
- 4. The catalyst of claim 1 wherein said mordenite has a silicon to aluminum atomic ratio ranging from about 10 to about 30.
- 5. The catalyst of claim 1 wherein said palladium and said platinum are present in a weight ratio ranging from about 3:1 to about 1:1.
- 6. The catalyst of claim 1 wherein the crush strength of said catalyst is at least 0.4 lb/mm.
- 7. A hydrogenation catalyst suitable for hydrogenation of a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising from about 0.1% to about 2.0% by weight each of palladium and platinum, each incorporated onto a support comprising mordenite.
- 8. The catalyst of claim 7 wherein said palladium and platinum are present in a weight ratio ranging from about 5:1 to about 1:2.
- 9. The catalyst of claim 7 wherein said mordenite has a silicon to aluminum atomic ratio ranging from about 10 to about 40.
- 10. The catalyst of claim 7 wherein the crush strength of said catalyst is at least 0.4 lb/mm.
