The present invention relates to a diving equipment and, more particularly, to a diving backplate.
With the increasing population engaging in leisure sports, diving has become one of the popular activities. Since diving is a highly specialized activity, it requires essential equipment such as wetsuit, mask, diving backplate, air tank, fins, counterweight belt, etc. In this regard, the conventional diving backplate typically has a backpack and a frame. A bladder is provided in the backpack. The backpack can be assembled to the frame. The frame is configured to accommodate the air tank so as to allow divers to stay submerged for extended periods in oxygen-deprived underwater environments. When resurfacing, the diver can press an air filling button to transfer air from the tank into the bladder of the backpack so as to increase buoyancy. However, said diving backplate lacks mechanisms for adjusting counterweights. Accordingly, when the diver resurfaces, the buoyancy of the bladder causes the overall buoyancy center far biased from the original buoyancy center of the diver's body, and hinders the diver from sustaining the necessary level or specific posture, resulting in poor usability.
In light of the above, it is necessary to improve the conventional diving backplate.
To solve the above problems, it is an objective of the present invention to provide a diving backplate capable of sustaining the necessary level or specific posture of the diver and improving using convenience.
It is another objective of the present invention to provide a diving backplate capable of improving assembly convenience.
It is yet another objective of the present invention to provide a diving backplate capable of improving wearing comfort.
It is a further objective of the present invention to provide a diving backplate capable of decreasing manufacturing costs.
As used herein, the term “a”, “an” or “one” for describing the number of the elements and members of the present invention is used for convenience, provides the general meaning of the scope of the present invention, and should be interpreted to include one or at least one. Furthermore, unless explicitly indicated otherwise, the concept of a single component also includes the case of plural components.
As used herein, terms “mounted”, “combined”, “assembled”, “arranged” or “provided” throughout the present invention mainly include patterns that the components can still be separated without destroying the components after connection, or the components are inseparable after connection and the like, which can be selected by a person having ordinary skill in the art based on the material or assembly requirements of the components to be connected.
A diving backplate according to the present invention includes a device body, a first frame, a second frame and multiple counterweights. The device body includes an inward face and an outward face opposite to the inward face. The first frame is connected to the outward face. The second frame is connected to the inward face and includes multiple first assembly holes. The multiple counterweights are detachable mounted to the second frame. Each counterweight includes multiple second assembly holes each respectively aligned with a respective one of the multiple first assembly holes. A fastener is provided for mounting with each aligned first assembly hole and second assembly hole.
Therefore, by the configuration that the multiple counterweights can be detachable mounted to the second frame and the fasteners can be mounted with aligned second assembly holes and first assembly holes, the mounting positions of the counterweights can be changed/adjusted or finely tuned. Therefore, the diver/user can maintain their buoyancy center in a balance when resurfacing, so that the necessary level or specific posture of the diver can be sustained. Accordingly, the effect of improving convenience can be achieved.
In an example, the second frame includes a base and two side walls respectively connected to two sides of the base, and the multiple first assembly holes are located on the two side walls. Therefore, the configuration of the second frame contributes in simplifying the overall structure of itself, and hence also achieves the effect of decreasing the manufacture costs.
In an example, the base and the two side walls are integrally formed. Therefore, the structural strength of the second frame can be enhanced.
In an example, the first frame includes multiple adjusting holes each configured to be mounted with an adjusting member, and one end of the adjusting member abuts the outward face of the device body. A space is thereby formed with the specific distance between the first frame and the device body. Therefore, by adjusting the adjusting member, the space and the distance between the first frame and the device body can be correspondingly adjusted/changed to receive various components, and hence achieves the effect of preventing from damage caused by compression force between the first frame and the device body to the received components.
In an example, the first frame includes multiple first position holes each configured to be mounted with a positioning member. Therefore, the first frame can be mounted to the device body easily to achieve the effect of convenient assembly.
In an example, the second frame includes multiple second positioning holes, and each of the positioning members extends through the device body to be mounted with a respective one of the second positioning holes. Therefore, the second frame can be mounted to the device body easily to achieve the effect of convenient assembly.
In an example, each of the counterweights includes a third positioning hole and a positioning plug. Each of the third positioning holes aligns with a respective one of the first position holes and a respective one of the second positioning holes, and each of the positioning plugs seals a respective one of the third positioning holes. Therefore, the positioning plug can prevent the positioning member from generating a pushing force on the counterweight toward the user's back so as to achieve the effect of improvement on the wearing comfort.
In an example, each of the positioning plug includes an internal threaded hole and a recess. The internal threaded hole is configured to be mounted with a respective one of the fasteners, and the recess is arranged away from the second frame than the internal threaded hole. Therefore, a coin or a sheet piece or the like can insert into the recess to rotate the positioning plug so as to achieve the effect of convenient assembly and disassembly.
In an example, the diving backplate further includes a strap extending through the multiple counterweights and forming a handle strap portion. Therefore, the handle strap portion is adapted for a user directly carrying the overall diving backplate so as to bring the effect of convenient to use/carry.
In an example, the strap includes a shoulder strap portion and waist strap portion. The handle strap portion, the shoulder strap portion and the waist strap portion are integrally formed. Therefore, the structural strength of the strap can be enhanced.
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given hereinafter and the accompanying drawings which are given by way of illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the present invention, and wherein:
When the terms “front”, “rear”, “left”, “right”, “up”, “down”, “top”, “bottom”, “inner”, “outer”, “side”, and similar terms are used herein, it should be understood that these terms have reference only to the structure shown in the drawings as it would appear to a person viewing the drawings and are utilized only to facilitate describing the invention, rather than restricting the invention.

The first frame 2 is connected to the outward face 1b of the device body 1, and the first frame 2 is configured to be mounted with an air tank (not shown). The first frame 2 may include multiple first position holes 21. In this embodiment, the first frame 2 includes two first position holes 21. Each of the first position holes 21 may be coupled with a positioning member P, so that the first frames 2 can be mounted to the device body 1. Besides, the first frame 2 may include multiple through holes 22 for decreasing the weight of the first frame 2.

Each counterweight 4 may include a third positioning hole 43 and a positioning plug 44. The third positioning hole 43 may be configured to be aligned with first position hole 21 and the second positioning hole 31. The positioning plug 44 may provide an internal threaded hole 441 for mounting with the positioning member P, and the positioning plug 44 may seals the third positioning hole 43, so that the positioning plug 44 prevents the positioning member P from generating a pushing force on the counterweight 4 toward the user's back and hence avoids uncomfortable feeling to the user's back. Also, the positioning plug 44 may include a recess 442 acting as a screw head recess or slot. The recess 442 may be provided away from the second frame 3 than the internal threaded hole 441. Preferably, the recess 442 forms a slot in a long and thin shape, so that a coin or a sheet piece or the like can insert into the recess 442 to rotate the positioning plug 44, thereby achieving the effect of convenient assembly and disassembly.
In summary, in the diving backplate according to the present invention, by the configuration that the multiple counterweights are detachably mounted to the second frame and the fasteners can be mounted with aligned second assembly holes and first assembly holes, the mounting positions of the counterweights can be changed/adjusted or finely tuned. Therefore, the diver can maintain their buoyancy center in a balance when resurfacing, so that the necessary level or specific posture of the diver can be sustained. Accordingly, the effect of improving using convenience can be achieved.
