Claims
- 1. An isolated polynucleotide encoding a Myt1 polypeptide having the amino acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:2.
- 2. An isolated polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of:
- a) the nucleic acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:1;
- b) the nucleic acid sequence set forth as SEQ ID NO:1, wherein T can also be U;
- c) nucleic acid sequences fully complementary to a) or b); and
- d) fragments of a), b), or c) that are at least 15 nucleotides in length and that will hybridize to a nucleic acid sequence which encodes the polypeptide set forth as SEQ ID NO:2 under the following conditions: 0.2.times.SSC/0.1% SDS at about 42.degree. C. or 0.1.times.SSC/0.1% SDS at about 68.degree. C.
- 3. The polynucleotide of claim 1, wherein the polynucleotide is isolated from a mammalian cell.
- 4. An expression vector comprising a polynucleotide of claim 1.
- 5. The vector of claim 4, wherein the vector is a plasmid.
- 6. The vector of claim 4, wherein the vector is a viral vector.
- 7. A host cell containing a vector of claim 4.
- 8. The host cell of claim 7, wherein the cell is a prokaryotic cell.
- 9. The host cell of claim 7, wherein the cell is a eukaryotic cell.
- 10. The host cell of claim 9, wherein the cell is a yeast cell.
