FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to easily removable undergarments.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

It is a problem in the art to provide easily removable undergarments. Conventional underwear cannot be removed without the wearer having to step out of clothing and remove their shoes. Sometimes it is necessary for individuals to remove or change their underwear without wanting to undress. In addition it can be difficult for some individuals to bend it down far enough to remove or change their underwear. And effective alternative is desired.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

From the foregoing, it is seen that it is a problem in the art to provide a device meeting the above requirements. According to the present invention, a device is provided which meets the aforementioned requirements and needs in the prior art. Specifically, the device according to the present invention provides an easily removable undergarment.

The device of the present invention provides a solution. Underwear or items of clothing are worn beneath outer clothes, typically in direct contact with the skin. They serve to keep outer garments from being soiled or damaged by bodily excretions, to lessen the friction of outerwear against the skin, to shape the body, and to provide concealment or support for parts of it.

The present invention provides women or men with easily removable underwear featuring snaps on the left and right sides of the hips. It allows women, for example, to remove their underwear without the need to remove their clothing. This enables wearers to change undergarments quickly and easily without stepping out of clothing and shoes. It eliminates the need for individuals to bend down in order to remove or apply underwear. The present invention offers wearers easy access to their undergarments for convenience in a variety of situations.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily apparent from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective front view of an undergarment according to the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a front elevational view of the undergarment of FIG. 1 with a left-side portion unsnapped to show fasteners used in the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1 is a perspective front view of an undergarment 10, according to the present invention. The undergarment 10 is in the form of panty underwear, and has a front portion 12, a front top edge 16, a rear top edge 14, a right-hand edge 26, and a portion 18 that can be unsnapped. The undergarment 10 also includes a rear portion 30, and a crotch portion 28. As seen in FIG. 1, there are three snap elements shown, snap element 20, snap element 22, and snap element 24.

In FIG. 1, only a single portion 18 is shown, on the right hand side of the figure. There is also an identical portion on the left hand side, just out of view in FIG. 1. In the following description with respect to the portion 18, it will be understood that both such portions—that one the left hand side and that on the right hand side that is visible—are being described and referred to herein.

FIG. 1 shows the snap elements connected, and the undergarment 10 is ready for use by a wearer. There is a conventional top portion that corresponds to the waist of a user, and two leg openings for the wearer's legs to pass through, when the undergarment 10 is being put on when in a fastened condition.

FIG. 2 shows a rear elevational view of the undergarment 10 of FIG. 1 with a left-side portion (which is the right-hand side portion of FIG. 1) in an unsnapped condition, to show the fasteners used in the invention. As noted above, the snap portions 20, 22, and 24 are conventional snap fasteners, having male elements that a detachably attachable to corresponding female snap fastener elements 32, 34, and 36 on the other portion of the undergarment 10 at the right-hand side 26. The male and female snap elements (20, 22, and 24; and 32, 34, and 36) can be interchanged on opposed sides, and all such variations are contemplated as being within the scope of the present invention. This view also shows stitching 38, in dashed outline.

The garment 10 has a right-hand edge 18 and an identical left-hand side edge (not visible in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2), the left-hand side edge 18 and the right-hand side edge 18 having respective portions that can be unsnapped as shown on FIG. 2. The undergarment also includes the rear portion 30, and the crotch portion 28. There are three snap elements (22, 24, and 26) on each of the side edges which cooperate with mating snap elements (32, 34, and 36) to open and close the sides of the undergarment 10. The snap elements (22, 24, and 26) are disposed on the front right-hand side 12 of the undergarment 10, and the snap elements (32, 34, and 36) are disposed on the rear right-hand side of the undergarment 10. The right-hand sides overlap when the snaps are in a fastened engagement with each other as shown in FIG. 2.

Snap fasteners are well known, and the following three examples are hereby referred to and expressly incorporated herein by reference thereto: U.S. Pat. No. 5,003,673 directed to snap fasteners; U.S. Pat. No. 3,965,952 directed to plastic snap fasteners; and U.S. Pat. No. 3,979,802 directed to snap fasteners. Other types of snap fasteners can be used in the present invention, suitable for use with garments worn by human beings, and all such snap fasteners that would be known to any one having skill in the clothing manufacture arts are contemplated as being within the scope of the present invention.

Referring now to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the undergarment 10 of the present invention provides an undergarment option that can be easily removed and applied without needing to go over the legs and feet. The Invention is composed of easily removable underwear with snaps on both hips of the undergarment that includes two or three snaps that can be sewn or placed on the left and right side of the hip of the fabric. This enables the user to snap the underwear in place on each hip, as well as unsnap the undergarment for removal. The underwear may be available in a variety of fabrics, colors, styles, and sizes. The exact specifications may vary.

The device 10 of the present invention provides a solution to the above-noted needs in the prior art. Underwear or items of clothing are worn beneath outer clothes, typically in direct contact with the skin. They serve to keep outer garments from being soiled or damaged by bodily excretions, to lessen the friction of outerwear against the skin, to shape the body, and to provide concealment or support for parts of it.

The device 10 of the present invention provides women or men with easily removable underwear featuring snaps on the left and right sides of the hips.

It will be understood that only a single style of undergarment 10 is shown, in the form of a lady's panty. The invention can be used with any other styles of undergarments in the form of panties. Additionally, the invention can be used with any styles of mens undergarments, in the form of men's briefs.

The invention being thus described, it will be evident that the same may be varied in many ways by any one having skill in the applicable arts. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention and all such modifications are intended to be included within the scope of the claims.
