Claims
- 1. A document authoring system comprising:
a server; and a client connected to the server via a network, the client comprising:
means for transmitting information indicating an item which is designated on a web screen by a user and which indicates an edition object of a document displayed on the web screen, and information indicating an edition content of the item indicating the edition object, which are described in a first language format, to the server, the server comprising:
a list in which a plurality of items on the web screen are associated and stored with display information of the plurality of items, described in a second language format; means for changing the display information which is stored in the list corresponding to the information indicating the item transmitted from the client and which is described in the second language format based on the information indicating the edition content of the item indicating the edition object; and means for converting the changed display information described in the second language format into the first language format.
- 2. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the first language format is HTML.
- 3. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the second language format is XML.
- 4. The document authoring system according to claim 1, further comprising:
means for publishing the display information converted into the first language format on a network.
- 5. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of items on the web screen are attached to identification information, respectively,
the identification information is associated with the display information described in the second language format in the list, and the client transmits the identification information of the item indicating the edition object as information indicating the item.
- 6. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the information indicating the edition content of the item includes information indicating that a new list is added to the item indicating the edition object.
- 7. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the items indicating the edition object of the document displayed on the web screen include image symbols which can be clicked, respectively, and the image symbol is designated so that edition of the item corresponding to the designated image symbol is possible.
- 8. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the server further comprises:
means for acquiring the display information corresponding to a requested item from the list based on a request from the client to convert the acquired display information into the first language format; and means for outputting the display information converted into the first language format to the client which has outputted the request.
- 9. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the information indicating the edition content includes information indicating a format of the item indicating the edition object.
- 10. The document authoring system according to claim 1, wherein the information indicating the edition content includes character information displayed in the item indicating the edition object.
