This application is based on and claims priority under 35 USC 119 from Japanese Patent Application No. 2023-199829 filed on Nov. 27, 2023, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
The present disclosure relates to a small doll having a flocked surface and a molded product of a resin material as a main component.
There is a doll with a flocked region. For example, JPH05-123456A discloses a clip-attached doll in which a clip body is fixed to the back of a doll made of flocked soft vinyl. The doll is manufactured by, during flocking, adhering a masking seal to an attachment portion of the clip body such that flocking is not performed on the attachment portion.
For a doll of a certain size, for example, a total length of about 50 mm, it is possible to mask a region where flocking is not desired to preventing flocking in the region. However, for a small doll of, for example, a total length of about 30 mm, it is difficult to apply a small cut-out masking seal, or even when the small cut-out masking seal is applied, the seal may be easily peel off, whereby it difficult to provide a doll with an excellent aesthetic appearance.
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a doll with an excellent aesthetic appearance and a method for manufacturing the doll even when the doll is small.
An aspect of the present disclosure provides a doll including: a frame member made of a molded product of a resin material and including a first fitting portion and an exposed portion; and at least one part member made of a molded product of a resin material and including a first part member, the first part member including a first fitted portion configured to be fitted with the first fitting portion, in which a surface region of the frame member, the surface region including at least a part of a surface of the first fitting portion and at least a part of a surface of the exposed portion, is formed as a first flocked region on which short fibers are electrostatically flocked.
Another aspect of the present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing a doll, the method including: preparing a frame member made of a molded product of a resin material, the frame member including a plurality of fitting portions and a plurality of exposed portions, the plurality of fitting portions including a first fitting portion and a second fitting portion; preparing a plurality of part members made of molded products of a resin material, respectively, the plurality of part members including a first part member and a second part member, the first part member including a first fitted portion configured to be fitted with the first fitting portion, the second part member including a second fitted portion configured to be fitted with the second fitting portion; attaching the first part member to the frame member to assemble an intermediate assembly by causing the first fitted portion of the first part member to be fitted with the first fitting portion of the frame member; performing electrostatic flocking of short fibers on a surface region of the intermediate assembly, the surface region including at least a part of a surface of the second fitting portion of the frame member, the second fitting portion that does not fit the first fitted portion, at least a part of surfaces of the plurality of exposed portions of the frame member, and at least a part of a surface of the first part member attached to the frame member; and attaching the second part member on which the electrostatic flocking has not been performed to the frame member in the intermediate assembly on which the electrostatic flocking has been performed by causing the second fitting portion in the intermediate assembly on which the electrostatic flocking has been performed to fit the second fitted portion of the parts member which has not been attached to the frame member.
According to the above aspects, it is possible to provide a doll with an excellent aesthetic appearance and a method for manufacturing the doll even when the doll is small.
The present disclosure will be described in detail based on the following without being limited thereto, wherein:

The part member 20 includes a fitted portion 25 including the first fitted portion 25a to the third fitted portion 25c.
The frame member 10 and each part member 20 are molded products manufactured through injection molding of a resin material. In addition, in the frame member 10, portions of the arm portions 12 or leg portions 14 (at least parts of the arm portions 12 or leg portions 14) protruding from the clothing member 21 are formed as exposed portions 18 (see
Here, the flocking is processing of attaching short fibers formed of rayon, nylon, or the like to an outer surface of the frame member 10 or the head member 22 in a raised state through electrostatic flocking. As the short fibers used here, short fibers having substantially the same color as the frame member 10 or head member 22 made of the molded product (i.e., substantially the same color as the resin material used in injection molding) are favorably used.
In addition, here, the fitting between the fitting portion 15 and the fitted portion 25 is fitting established by a protrusion and a recess, so an allowance for fitting is set in consideration of the influence of flocking. The fitting between the fitting portion 15 and the fitted portion 25 in the present embodiment is, specifically, the fitting between: one or more fitting portions 15 (first fitting portion 15a, third fitting portion 15c), to which the part member 20 is not attached and which is in a non-fitting state before flocking; and the corresponding one or more fitted portions 25 (first fitted portion 25a, third fitted portion 25c) of the part member 20, which is not attached to the frame member 10 before flocking.
The eye portions of the head member 22 may be formed by gluing hemispherical beads or the like after the flocking. Therefore, masking or the like is not necessary.
A method for manufacturing the doll 1 includes:
The method for manufacturing the doll 1 further includes:
Specifically, the doll 1 is manufactured as follows. First, as the preparation process, the frame member 10 and the part members 20 (clothing member 21, head member 22, and decoration member 23) are manufactured by injection molding. Next, as the pre-flocking attachment process, the second fitting portion 15b is inserted and fitted into the second fitted portion 25b of the head member 22, thereby attaching the head member 22 to the frame member 10. Then, as the flocking process, flocking is performed on the frame member 10, including the fitting portion 15 (the first fitting portion 15a, the third fitting portion 15c) in a non-fitting state and the exposed portions 18, and the head member 22. That is, flocking is also performed on portions that are not exposed in a finished product, particularly, on the main body portion 11, the first fitting portion 15a, and the third fitting portion 15c, as well.
After the flocking process, the first fitted portion 25a of the front clothing member 21a is inserted and fitted into the first fitting portion 15a of the frame member 10. Then, the protrusions 21a1 of the front clothing member 21a are inserted and fitted into the hole portions 21b1 of the rear clothing member 21b, thereby combining the front clothing member 21a and the rear clothing member 21b to form the clothing member 21. At this time, the openings 26a and 26b are joined to form the opening 26 through which the second fitting portion 15b protrudes. Additionally, the openings 27a and 27b are joined to form the openings 27 through which the arm portions 12 protrude. In addition, the third fitted portion 25c of the decoration member 23 is inserted and fitted into the third fitting portion 15c through the opening portion 28 of the rear clothing member 21b.
In this way, the doll 1 is manufactured. In the doll 1, the exposed portions 18 include portions of the arm portions 12 protruding from the clothing member 21, and surfaces of the lower side of the leg portions 14 or lower torso portion 13 inside the skirt portion of the clothing member 21.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the frame member 10 and the part members 20 are formed as molded products of a resin material, and the doll 1 can be formed using the frame member 10 and the part members 20. Since the frame member 10 can be flocked without masking the outer surface, the doll 1 can be easily manufactured with high productivity even when the doll 1 is small. In addition, since the doll 1 can be assembled through the fitting established by protrusions and recesses, the manufacturing becomes easier.
In addition, the doll 1 is formed to stand on its own by placing tip ends 14a of the leg portions 14 formed as if standing on tiptoes and a lower end of the decoration member 23 (a lower end 23a1 of the wing portion 23a) on an installation surface FL (see
According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, a doll of the following aspects can be provided.
A doll according to a first aspect includes a frame member made of a molded product of a resin material and including a first fitting portion and an exposed portion; and at least one part member made of a molded product of a resin material and including a first part member, the first part member including a first fitted portion configured to be fitted with the first fitting portion, in which a surface region of the frame member, the surface region including at least a part of a surface of the first fitting portion and at least a part of a surface of the exposed portion, is formed as a first flocked region on which short fibers are electrostatically flocked.
According to this configuration, even a small doll can be formed without the need for masking. That is, since there is no need to form the arms or feet as detailed separate members, manufacturing becomes easier. In addition, since even the fitting portion can be subjected to flocking together with the exposed portion, there is no need for masking. Therefore, it is possible to provide a doll with an excellent aesthetic appearance even when the doll is small.
In the doll according to a second aspect, the frame member includes a second fitting portion, the at least one part member includes: a clothing member including an opening portion; a head member which is the first part member and which includes a second flocked region; and a decoration member including a second fitted portion configured to fit with the second fitting portion through the opening portion of the clothing member, the exposed portion includes at least a part of an arm portion and at least a part of a leg portion, the at least the part of the arm portion and the at least the part of the leg portion being exposed from the clothing member, and the doll is configured to stand on its own when a tip end of the leg portion and a lower end of the decoration member are placed on an installation surface.
According to this configuration, the doll can be made to stand stably on its own even when the doll is a doll that stands on tiptoes, such as a doll imitating a flying fairy.
In the doll according to a third aspect, the lower end of the decoration member installed on the installation surface has a bifurcated shape, and the leg portion is arranged between the bifurcated lower end of the decoration member when viewed from a front-rear direction.
According to this configuration, the doll may be configured to be stand on its own as if supported by approximately three points, further enhancing the stability of the doll's independent standing.
A method for manufacturing a doll according to a fourth aspect includes: preparing a frame member made of a molded product of a resin material, the frame member including a plurality of fitting portions and a plurality of exposed portions, the plurality of fitting portions including a first fitting portion and a second fitting portion; preparing a plurality of part members made of molded products of a resin material, respectively, the plurality of part members including a first part member and a second part member, the first part member including a first fitted portion configured to be fitted with the first fitting portion, the second part member including a second fitted portion configured to be fitted with the second fitting portion; attaching the first part member to the frame member to assemble an intermediate assembly by causing the first fitted portion of the first part member to be fitted with the first fitting portion of the frame member; performing electrostatic flocking of short fibers on a surface region of the intermediate assembly, the surface region including at least a part of a surface of the second fitting portion of the frame member, the second fitting portion that does not fit the first fitted portion, at least a part of surfaces of the plurality of exposed portions of the frame member, and at least a part of a surface of the first part member attached to the frame member; and attaching the second part member on which the electrostatic flocking has not been performed to the frame member in the intermediate assembly on which the electrostatic flocking has been performed by causing the second fitting portion in the intermediate assembly on which the electrostatic flocking has been performed to fit the second fitted portion of the parts member which has not been attached to the frame member.
According to this configuration, even when flocking is performed without using masking, the flocked region can also be concealed by the part member. Therefore, the exposed portion subjected to flocking can be neatly finished, and thus a method for manufacturing a doll with an excellent aesthetic appearance can be provided even when the doll is small.
Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be variously changed without departing from the gist. For example, the first flocked region or the second flocked region is configured by the entire surface of the frame member 10 and the head member 22, but some regions may not be flocked without performing masking. For example, there is no need to intentionally perform flocking on the holes for fitting, such as the third fitting portion 15c of the frame member 10 or the second fitted portion 25b of the head member 22, but masking is also not required for the holes, in the present disclosure.
