Abstract

A door control device has a processor configured to determine whether or not an emergency situation has occurred in a vehicle, based on operation by a user on an operating unit that is to be operated to open a door of the vehicle, and to decide to open the door when it has been determined by the first assessment unit that the emergency situation has occurred.

Description

Claims

1. A door control device comprising: a processor configured to determine whether or not an emergency situation has occurred in a vehicle, based on operation by a user on an operating unit that is to be operated to open a door of the vehicle, anddecide to open the door when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred.

2. The door control device according to claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to determine that the emergency situation has occurred when the user has carried out a predetermined operation on the operating unit.

3. The door control device according to claim 2, wherein the predetermined operation includes at least a predetermined number of operations of the operating unit within a first time period, continuous operation of the operating unit for at least a second time period, or operation of the operating unit with at least a predetermined force.

4. The door control device according to claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to determine whether or not the vehicle is stopped, anddecide to open the door when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred and that the vehicle is stopped.

5. The door control device according to claim 4, wherein the processor is further configured to decide to open the door after the vehicle has stopped, when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred and that the vehicle is not stopped, andset a stop location for stopping of the vehicle, when it has been decided to open the door after the vehicle has stopped.

6. The door control device according to claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to determine that the emergency situation has occurred in the vehicle when the vehicle is traveling and the user has carried out the operation on the operating unit.

The door control device according to claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to send information indicating that the emergency situation has occurred and information indicating a state of the vehicle to a server via a communication unit, when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred, anddecide to open the door when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred and assessment results have been received from the server via the communication unit indicating that the emergency situation has occurred in the vehicle.

A computer-readable, non-transitory storage medium that stores a computer program for door control, which causes a processor execute a process and the process comprising: determining whether or not an emergency situation has occurred in a vehicle, based on operation by a user on an operating unit that is to be operated to open a door of the vehicle; anddeciding to open the door when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred.

A method for door control which is carried out by a door control device and the method comprising: determining whether or not an emergency situation has occurred in a vehicle, based on operation by a user on an operating unit that is to be operated to open a door of the vehicle; andto deciding to open the door when it has been determined that the emergency situation has occurred.
