The invention relates to a double chamber honey packaging developed in the food industry to enable honeycomb and extracted honey to be stored and/or stacked in the same package without contacting each other and to extend the shelf life of the product.
Honeycombs are unprocessed, hexagonal frames filled with honey and glazed by bees, in which bees collect plant nectar or secretions and store them after processing. All honey varieties are honeycombed in their first form. Honeycombs are filtered and divided into groups such as filtered flower, filtered pine, etc. according to the type of honey content. The state before the filtering process is called honeycomb honey.
In the state of the art, the slat honeycombs received from the beekeepers are cut in appropriate sizes and packaged in packages to be sold in the market. The honeycomb honey stored in the packaging flows from the places where the honeycomb is cut and accumulates at the bottom of the packaging. In this case, the honey crystallizes after a certain time, shortening the shelf life of the product. Customers who see the crystallized product give up buying the product, even though it is a natural result.
As a result of the research on the subject, TR 2020/05250 numbered application on “Honeycomb Honey Packaging” was found. The application is related to honeycomb honey packaging, which enables the elimination of the bad appearance caused by the crystallization of the filtered raw honey accumulated on the floor of the transparent plastic bowl used in the packaging and sale of honeycomb honey in the food sector. The characteristic of the invention relates to a label on the bottom of the said bowl, which extends upwards from all sides of the bowl to a certain extent. The purpose of the application in question is a label, a visual structure used to eliminate the appearance of crystallization.
The inventions found in the aforementioned and related research are developments used in different sectors and are insufficient in solving the existing problems, making it necessary to make a new development that will eliminate the disadvantages in the relevant technical field.
The invention is inspired by the current situation and aims to solve the above mentioned problems.
The main object of the invention is to enable honeycomb and extracted honey to be offered for sale as two separate products in a single package.
Another object of the invention is to increase the shelf life of the product by preventing contact between honeycomb and extracted honey.
Another object of the invention is to transform two separate packages into a single type of packaging for the combination of two independent products.
Another object of the invention is to save space by keeping less space in the transportation, storage and shelf of the product.
In order to realize all the advantages mentioned above and to be understood from the detailed description below, the invention is a double chamber honey package with a cylindrical form to be used in the food sector, where honeycomb honey and extracted honey in the same package, in order to ensure that they are offered for sale as two separate products without coming into contact with each other and to increase the shelf life of the product, characterized by comprising honeycomb honey chamber in which honeycomb honey is stored, extracted honey chamber where the extracted honey is stored, wherein the honeycomb honey chamber and the extracted honey chamber are positioned on top of each other and connected with each other, bottom cover, made of a monolithic structure with the honeycomb honey chamber, which serves as a base for the honeycomb honey chamber and as a cover for the extracted honey chamber, full volume top cover to cover the honeycomb honey chamber.
The structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood by the figures given below and the detailed description written by referring to these figures, and therefore, the evaluation should be made by considering these figures and detailed description.
Double chamber honey package (A) is a cylindrical shaped package comprising two chambers on top of each other, in which honeycomb honey and extracted honey are stored separately without touching each other, and which has been developed to enable the product to be offered for sale as two separate products in a single package in order to increase the shelf life of the product.
As shown in
The honeycomb honey chamber (2) in
The extracted honey chamber (3) shown in
In this way, a packaging structure is obtained in which honeycomb honey and extracted honey are positioned on top of each other in separate packages in such a way that they do not come into contact with each other, the shelf life is long, and the two separate packages turn into a single type of packaging for the combination of two independent products.
