Abstract
Disclosed is a device that will consist of two visors attached to a frame that will connect directly to any type of hoodie or like shape device.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention concerns a protective, retractable, portable two piece visor and frame. The intended use of this device is to reduce the amount of wind, snow, rain, sand and UV rays from coming in direct contact with the user's face.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Hoodies and similar articles of clothing are commonly used by many individuals in countries around the world. In weather situations such as: rain, wind, sand, snow and UV rays, hoodies or like clothing shape are often incorporated to protect the user's head. However, hoodies leave the face of the user unprotected as it does not provide protection in the front. The retractable and portable full face visor provides the user with a physical barrier, which protects the face from natural weather events.

Regular visors only protect the eyes and front head of the user leaving the nose, chick, mouse, shin and neck open to weather events. In contrast, full face cover visors protect the entire face of the user making the shape of the visor dysfunctional and unpractical for everyday use. In addition, most face visors come in combination with helmets for industrial work. Other visors have to be attached to the users head. While these designs are simple and straightforward, they suffer from an important drawback. These types of designs impair user's effectiveness and practicality.

To address this type of issue, the retractable and portable face visor provides user's an alternative design to better meet the user's needs. For example: going for a walk on a raining day or watching a football game so long that the user's face losses sensitivity due to the cold wind temperature. The retractable two piece visor protects and reduces the direct impact to the user's face from natural weather events.

Current visors suffer from fogging due to condensation from breath of the user, which over time reduces the transparency of the visor. The full visor also restricts air flow and the half visor does not provide full protection to the face. Moreover, the visors are prone to surface scratching which also causes impairment of the field of vision.

To resolve these problems, the new device will incorporate transparent visors attached to a frame to help re-shape clothes with hoods. The retractable visor will have the following standard options: Anti-fogging and UV ray protection. The retractable visors will come with additional options such as: anti-scratching material, shade colors and transitioning lenses technology.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Present inventions lack the abilities to protect or shield the full face of the user. In addition, the current designs in the market have many disadvantages and difficulties with portability and retraction when covering or shielding the full face of the user.

Furthermore, the problems of visor fogging, scratching, air flow and UV rays, reduces the effectiveness of full face and half face visors. The retractable, portable two piece visor will give user's additional options to better protect their faces against natural events such as rain, sown, sand, water or UV rays. In addition, it will give users the ability to carry the new device discreetly.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

FIG. [01]. Is a diagram showing the first half of the visor being pulled down from the hoodie. In addition, it shows the locking system for the visor and the connectors to the hoodie.

FIG. [02]. Is a diagram of the device with the two visors fully expanded across the user's face. The image shows air holes across the visor.

FIG. [03]. Is a diagram of the device from the right side showing the visor fully retracted inside the frame. In addition, the image shows the frame with several connectors. The connectors will be used to connect the frame of the device to a hoodie type device.

FIG. [04]. Is a diagram of the device from the left side showing the visor fully retracted inside the frame. In addition, the image shows the frame with several connectors. The connectors will be used to connect the frame of the device to a hoodie type device.

FIG. [05]. Is a diagram of the device that shows the visor fully retracted inside the frame from the right side view.

FIG. [06]. Is a diagram of the two visors one behind the other and both visor fully expanded.

FIG. [07]. Is a diagram of the head protecting cushion from the device.

FIG. [08]. Is a diagram of the frame retracted back on the user's hoodie. The image shows how the new device hides inside the hoodie when the user's hoodie is fully retracted back.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims
  • 1. The visor is sized and shaped to surround the user's face. The visor is connectable to the frame and it can be replaced.
  • 2. The frame of the device will be sized and shaped to be portable and connectable to the frame of the hoodie. The frame will surround and re-shape the hoodie contour creating a perfect shape and grip for the visor to fully shield the user's face.
  • 3. The frame will include an upper and a lower right/left side attached to the top portion of the frame. The upper side will host the retractable visor. In addition, the upper side will host the protecting head rest.
  • 4. The frame will house several connectors to lock the device to almost any type of hoodie shape.
  • 5. The peripheral support includes a multiplicity of frame connectors to reshape the contour of the hoodie.
  • 6. The frame would be made from a lightweight plastic or fiber material.
  • 7. The frame includes a securing portion to permit hingeable connection.
  • 8. The first half of the visor will cover the user's face from the forehead to the nose. The second half of visor will cover the users face from the nose up to or near the user's neck. Once both visors are fully retracted, the user's face will be fully shielded.
