Claims
- 1. A drafting device for use with a template for drawing concentric lines with respect to the template pattern, comprising:
- a flat circular disc having upper and lower sides thereto,
- a base fixed to the lower side of said disc substantially central thereof and operative to elevate the disc above a flat supporting surface when resting thereon,
- a circular wall of lesser outer diameter than the disc outer diameter fixed to the upper side of said disc circumferentially inboard of the peripheral edge thereof and concentric thereto, and
- at least one opening formed through the disc inboard of the wall for receiving a marking means therethrough,
- said circular wall being relieved at one portion thereof and a slot provided through said disc in said wall relieved portion for receiving a marking means therethrough.
- 2. A drafting device for use with a template for drawing concentric lines with respect to the template pattern and comprising:
- a flat circular disc having upper and lower sides thereto,
- a base fixed to the lower side of said disc substantially centrally thereof and operative to elevate the disc above a flat supporting surface when resting thereon,
- a circular wall of lesser outer diameter than the disc outer diameter fixed to the upper side of said disc circumferentially inboard of the peripheral edge thereof and concentric thereto, and
- at least one opening formed through the disc inboard of the wall for receiving a marking means therethrough,
- said circular wall on the upper side of said disc being relieved in two diametrically opposed portions thereof and slots provided in and through said disc in said relieved portions for receiving a marking means therethrough.
- 3. A drafting device for use with a template for drawing concentric lines with respect to the template pattern comprising:
- a flat circular disc having upper and lower sides thereto,
- a base fixed to the lower side of said disc substantially centrally thereof operative to elevate the disc above a flat supporting surface and resting thereon,
- a circular wall of lesser outer diameter than the disc outer diameter fixed to the upper side of said disc circumferentially inboard of the peripheral edge thereof and concentric thereto,
- said circular wall relieved in at least one portion of the length thereof with an opening through said disc in said relieved portion adapted to receive a marking means therethrough, and
- at least one opening formed through said disc inboard of said wall and closely adjacent to said relieved portion thereof for receiving a pencil lead therethrough and drawing a concentric line to the line produced by a pencil lead in the opening in the wall relieved portion.
- 4. A device as in claim 3 including a circumferential flange fixed to the top portion of said circular wall on the outboard face thereof and extending substantially parallel to the portion of said disc outboard of said wall.
- 5. A device as in claim 3 wherein said base is circular, of substantially lesser outer diameter than the outer diameter of said wall and positioned centrally of the lower side of said disc.
- 6. A device as in claim 3 including a plurality of additional openings through said disc inboard of said circular wall spaced radially centrally and laterally from one another and the other openings through said disc in such a manner as to provide evenly spaced openings with respect to said disc wall for drawing concentric lines to a template pattern.
- 7. A device as in claim 3 wherein said wall is relieved in two portions thereof diametrically opposed to one another, there being an opening through said disc in each of said relieved portions and at least one opening formed through the disc inboard of the wall closely adjacent each of said relieved portions for additionally receiving a pencil lead.
- 8. A device as in claim 7 including a plurality of additional openings through said disc provided adjacent to and spaced laterally and inwardly from each said opening, whereby to provide inch fraction concentric lines and metric spaced concentric lines with said device.
- 9. A drafting device for use with a template for drawing concentric lines with respect to the template pattern comprising:
- a flat circular disc having upper and lower sides thereto,
- a circular wall of lesser outer diameter than the disc outer diameter fixed to the upper side of said disc circumferentially inboard of the peripheral edge thereof and concentric thereto,
- said circular wall relieved in at least one portion of the length thereof with an opening through said disc in said relieved portion adapted to receive a marking means therethrough, and
- at least one opening formed through said disc inboard of said wall and closely adjacent to said relieved portion thereof for receiving a marking means therethrough and drawing a concentric line to the line produced by a marking means in the opening in the wall relieved portion.
- 10. A device as in claim 9 including a circumferential flange fixed to the top portion of said circular wall on the outboard face thereof and extending substantially parallel to the portion of said disc outboard of said wall.
- 11. A device as in claim 9 including a plurality of additional openings through said disc inboard of said circular wall spaced radially centrally and laterally from one another and the other openings through said disc in such a manner as to provide evenly spaced openings with respect to said disc wall for drawing concentric lines to a template pattern.
- 12. A device as in claim 9 wherein said wall is relieved in two portions thereof diametrically opposed to one another, there being an opening through said disc in each of said relieved portions and at least one opening is formed through the disc inboard of the wall closely adjacent each of said relieved portions for additionally receiving a marking means.
- 13. A device as in claim 12 including a plurality of additional openings through said disc provided adjacent to and spaced laterally and inwardly from each said opening, whereby to provide inch fraction concentric lines and metric spaced concentric lines with said device.
