Claims
- 1. A drag shield for attachment to a lawn mower apparatus, said shield comprising:an elongated inflexible first rigid end member adapted for attachment to a lawn mower apparatus; an elongated inflexible second rigid end member extending substantially parallel to said first end member, and adapted for following the contour of the ground; a thin flexible first web layer connected between the inflexible first and second rigid members, said thin flexible first web layer and said first and second rigid end members consisting of the same piece of rigid plastic material; and flexible second web and third web layers bonded to opposing sides of said first web layer, said second and third web layers each consisting of a flexible plastic material.
- 2. The drag shield of claim 1, wherein said first and second rigid end members, and first web layer consist of a rigid Olefin material.
- 3. The drag shield of claim 1, wherein said first and second rigid end members, and said flexible first web layer, consist of rigid Olefin material, and said at least one second and at least one third web layers consist of a flexible Olefin material.
- 4. The drag shield of claim 3, wherein said rigid Olefin material consists of a high impact copolymer polypropylene material derived from a metallocene catalyst technology.
- 5. The drag shield of claim 3, wherein said rigid Olefin material consists of a high impact copolymer polypropylene material derived from metallocene catalyst technology, and said flexible Olefin consists of metallocene polyethylene.
- 6. The drag shield of claim 1, wherein said rigid piece of plastic material is a rigid Olefin material.
- 7. The drag shield of claim 6, wherein said rigid Olefin material is a high impact copolymer polypropylene material derived from metallocene catalyst technology.
- 8. The drag shield of claim 1, wherein the flexible plastic material is a flexible Olefin material.
- 9. The drag shield of claim 8, wherein the flexible Olefin material is a metallocene polyethylene material.
- 10. A drag shield for attachment to a lawn mower apparatus, said shield comprising:an elongated inflexible first rigid end member adapted for attachment to a lawn mower apparatus; an elongated inflexible second rigid end member extending substantially parallel to said first end member, and adapted for following the contour of the ground; a thin flexible first web layer integral with, connected between, and consisting of the same rigid piece of high impact copolymer material made utilizing metallocene technology as said first and second rigid end members; and flexible second web and third web layers bonded to opposing sides of said first web layer, said second and third web layers consisting of a metallocene polyethylene.
