- 4. Drilling device as defined in claim 3, characterized in that a status display is provided for the switching state of the switching element.
- 5. Drilling device as defined in claim 1, characterized in that a controlling means is provided, said controlling means comprising a limiting means for limiting motor current to a predetermined maximum value.
- 6. A drilling device comprising
- a foot,
- a holder displaceable with respect to said foot in a feed direction,
- a drilling tool drive carried by said holder,
- a drilling tool driven by said drilling tool drive,
- a feed drive comprising an electromotor for driving said holder in said feed direction,
- an overload control means comprising a path sensor for detecting a counterforce acting on said drilling tool,
- and further comprising a measuring means for detecting a motor load of said drilling tool drive, said overload control means switching off said feed drive but keeping said drilling tool drive running if said counterforce exceeds a predetermined value and/or if said motor load reaches a predetermined load level.
- 7. Drilling device a defined in claim 6, characterized in that said overload control means comprises an actuating means for said sensor allowing deflected movement of said drilling tool contrary to said feed direction.
- 8. Drilling device as defined in claim 7, characterized in that said actuating means comprises a displacement guide means and a displacement element movable relative thereto.
- 9. Drilling device as defined in claim 8, characterized in that said displacement guide means is a longitudinal guide means and said displacement element is a sliding element movable along said guide means.
- 10. Drilling device as defined in claim 7, characterized in that said actuating means counteracts said deflected movement of said drilling tool contrary to said feed direction by way of a resilient force generating means.
- 11. Drilling device as defined in claim 10, characterized in that said resilient force generating means is adjustable to set a predeterminable counterforce.
- 12. Drilling device as defined in claim 10, characterized in that said resilient force generating means is adapted to be pretensioned.
- 13. Drilling device as defined in claim 10, characterized in that said resilient force generating means allows a force exerting path of displacement of said actuating means.
- 14. Drilling device as defined in claim 6, characterized in that said sensor is a multistage sensor.
- 15. Drilling device as defined in claim 14, characterized in that said sensor has a first switching stage and a second switching stage arranged successively thereto.
- 16. Drilling device as defined in claim 15, characterized in that said overload control means generates a warning signal when said first switching stage is reached.
- 17. Drilling device as defined in claim 16, characterized in that said overload control means switches off said feed drive when said second switching stage is reached.
- 18. Drilling device as defined in claim 6, characterized in that said measuring means for said motor load of said drilling tool drive detects its current intake.
- 19. Drilling device as defined in claim 18, characterized in that when a first predetermined current limit is exceeded said overload control means evaluates this as a maximum load level and switches off said feed drive.
- 20. Drilling device as defined in claim 19, characterized in that said overload control means comprises a current regulating means for said drilling tool drive and limits the current thereof to a second value exceeding said first current limit by way of said current regulating means.
- 21. Drilling device as defined in claim 19, characterized in that said overload control means generates a warning signal when said first current limit is exceeded.
- 22. Drilling device as defined in claim 6, characterized in that said switching off of said feed drive is automatically cancelled once said counterforce or said motor load fall below their predetermined levels and said feed drive is switched on again.
- 23. Drilling device as defined in claim 10, characterized in that said resilient force generating means are adjustable such that said predetermined counterforce is not exceeded until said means has moved along part of its displacement path.
