Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of drinkware. More specifically, the present invention relates to a drinkware cover device primarily comprised of a body with a front surface, a rear surface, and at least one indicia. The front surface and the rear surface may each comprised of at least one fastener or tie that allows the body to be secured around a piece of drinkware. The body is preferably made from a material that absorbs or prevents the condensation on the drinkware and preferably keeps the contents cold. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.

BACKGROUND

Many individuals enjoy their favorite beverage in drinkware such as a cup, glass, bottle, or can. However, cold liquid within drinkware in a warm environment may cause condensation on the outer surface of the drinkware. This condensation may then drip onto the hand of the drinker and the drinking surface as time goes on.

To combat condensation, a drinker may wipe the drinkware. However, constantly wiping drinkware with a napkin can be annoying and frustrating. This is especially true if the saturated napkin starts to disintegrate.

As a result, drinkers wish to prevent condensation on drinkware. In addition, drinkers may wish to further accentuate their drinkware. Drinkers may also wish to identify their drinkware, especially in a crowded social setting.

Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a drinkware cover. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a drinkware cover device that prevents and/or absorbs condensation from forming on drinkware. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a drinkware cover device that accentuates the appearance of drinkware.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a drinkware cover device. The device is primarily comprised of a body with a front surface, a rear surface, and at least one indicia. The front surface and the rear surface are each comprised of at least one fastener or tie that allows the body to be secured around a piece of drinkware. While around a piece of drinkware, the device prevents and/or absorbs condensation. The device may also be comprised of a material or grip area that aids a user in gripping the device and in turn, the piece of drinkware.

In this manner, the drinkware cover device of the present invention accomplishes all of the foregoing objectives and provides a drinkware cover that prevents or absorbs from forming on drinkware. In addition, the device accentuates the appearance of drinkware. The device can also be advantageously applied to numerous types of drinkware.

SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a drinkware cover device. The device is primarily comprised of a body with a front surface, a rear surface, and at least one indicia. In one embodiment, the body is generally rectangular in shape. In another embodiment, the front surface and rear surface are made from differing materials that serve differing performance purposes. The front surface and/or rear surface material preferably have insulating properties to keep liquid within the drinkware cold.

The rear surface, which contacts the drinkware directly, is preferably made from a textured, non-slip, material. This material prevents the drinkware from slipping when enclosed by the device. This material may be waterproof to prevent condensation from leaking through the body to the front surface.

The front surface may be comprised of at least one grip area that may be textured with a recessed or raised texture or may be non-textured. The grip area is preferably made from a non-slip material that improves grip. Therefore, the grip area improves a user's ability to grasp the device.

The front surface and rear surface are each preferably comprised of at least one fastener or tie. The fasteners are preferably reciprocating fasteners. As a result, the front surface can be secured to the rear surface after the body has been placed around drinkware.

Another embodiment of the body may be shaped in order to be used with stemmed drinkware. In this embodiment, the body is preferably made from a fabric material and has a first opening and a second opening.

The first opening rests around the body of the drinkware. The second opening then rests around the drinkware where the body of the drinkware meets the stem. In this embodiment, the body is comprised of a first tail and a second tail. The tails can be tied together to secure the body to the drinkware in the form of a decorative bow or knot.
