Claims
- 1. An electrocoagulation printing apparatus having:a printing head with an array of electrodes in contact with an electrically conductive electrocoagulation printing ink; a driver circuit for impressing electric signals to individual electrodes of said array; and a current limiter included in said driver circuit for limiting the magnitude of electric current passing through individual electrodes and said electrocoagulation printing ink to a predetermined value, wherein said current limiter corrects a density of adjacent ink film pixels of a printed line to compensate for a cross-influence of impedance between adjacent ink film pixels.
- 2. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said current limiter includes a current source.
- 3. The apparatus as claimed in claim 2, wherein said current source is mounted in said printing head.
- 4. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said driver circuit is responsive to a graphical data input signal to cause simultaneous passage of electric current through selected electrodes and selected ink film pixels of said array that are contiguous with one another, and wherein said current limiter prevents that a magnitude of current passing through either one of said electrodes and ink film pixels that are contiguous exceeds a predetermined value.
- 5. The apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein said current limiter includes a current source.
- 6. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said driver circuit is responsive to a graphical data input signal to cause simultaneous passage of electric current through selected electrodes and selected ink film pixels of said array, and wherein said current limiter prevents that a magnitude of current passing through said electrodes and ink film pixels exceeds a predetermined value.
